Today when i was browsing the net i saw the ubuntu on Dell netbook article. Long back i read the news. But today i read in depth. Because i am planning to buy a netbook.
Dell customized Ubuntu much like Windows and some points it is better than Windows as per the reviewers. Ubuntu is a open source program. So any body using a netbook with Ubuntu? Please suggest me on this.

I think Ubuntu is nice for netbooks. You can stay away from virus and problems when you use ubuntu, Bcoz 99.99% of viruses are heading towards to windows operating system, and forget about the key combination ctrl alt del ..Ha ha... You can use windows applications on the ubuntu too. That why i like ubuntu more than others. So if you have a plan to buy a ubuntu netbook, don't be hesitiated

i don't own a netbook but i have used Ubuntu and i must admit it is much faster than winodws xp or vista on slower and older machines. Netbooks aren't very powerful or capable so they won't be able to handle vista very well. but it should work great for Ubuntu which is not as resource intensive to run as a windows os.
