Not all affiliate programs are that difficult to get into

I sort of played with the idea of "affiliate marketing". I didn't really care for it because I thought, well, I'm not that good in internet marketing just yet with all the PPCs and CPAs and all the hoopla that goes with it. I'm used to getting contracts inked and sealed because that's what I do for a living.
So, anyway, what I did was out of curiosity and just for fun because well, I had absolutely NOTHING to lose. That's right - I had NOTHING to lose anyway since the sign up didn't require any fees or any kind whatsoever. My credit card wasn't even needed.
Long story short, I signed up, with my current email address, which by the way is with Yahoo and I used my old blog which probably gets ZERO hits today because the last time I posted was 2 years ago or something. It was my online journal which was something that I don't share with anyone. I remain anonymous because I like the anonymity of being a cynic sometimes.
Then guess what? I got accepted in TWO affiliate networks! I was like what the?!?
I was amused.
Will I use their banners? Don't think so because I don't currently own an updated blog/website.
I'm not saying that ALL affiliate programs out there are easy to get into. Heck, I wouldn't know because I just tried on a whim.
However, I am aware that these types of "easy" to get into programs may sometimes be difficult to deal with when cashing out if they think you have "suspicious" activity.
Well, that about sums up my experience. Needless to say, I was fairly amused.

I take part in wiccan/pagan affiliate programs. I figured, weird stuff draws in customers. LOL!

I have joined some affiliate programs as well and they are free. They are now running on my blog. It is nice to have them on your blog and hopefully it will yield to earnings.

Having a current blog site is about as easy as, well just adding a blog entry or two and you're back in business. Why not use the banners? You just might attract a referral that is very serious about making money...they may just make you a monthly check.
Affiliate programs do work and it is these programs that have the potential to turn a person with little to no marketing experience into a network marketer that makes great money from the program every year.
After all, what could it hurt by adding a couple of banners to an old site...heck, why not start a new blog too and add you banner there. You never know what could happen until you take action!

Until I really have time to devote to them, I am not going to bother with affiliate marketing again. I have tried several times and just do not seem to get anywhere with them. This is another one of those things that I am sure works....for someone, but just not for me at this time.

Affiliate marketing has always been a very good way to earn money online. You do not need to be an expert in affiliate marketing or internet skills to be successful at this. You must be determined to learn. A lot of people who are successful at affiliate marketing started from nothing and with their eagerness to learn, they succeeded. Use every skill that you have such as sales, writing etc. Also you should not give up easily in affiliate marketing, you may not see the fruits of your labor during the first few months. But you are only building pipelines and once you are familiar with the system, it will be smooth sailing and you will be racking up sales.
