I guess that I was sick yesterday, after hanging around my girlfriend's house after work. When I got home, I just keep on sneezing, and I felt sinus congestion, and not able to breath comfortably. I just took some Ny Quil, and go to bed. I slept pretty well through the morning. But I felt drowsy still in the morning, and I have to work. At work, I felt that nasal congestion again. I hate it, and I didn't bring that medicine with me. So, the Ny Quil seems temporary solution, what other over - the - counter medication would you suggest?

I try to go as naturally as possible. I throw garlic in everything during times like that (garlic is supposedly a natural anti-biotic). Also I try to eat spicy foods (like Mexican food) . . . which help with the congestion (a runny nose would be better than a stuffed up nose!). Staying away from milk (dairy) and sugar would be good too . . . to not encourage mucous and bacteria growth! Hope you feel better soon!

I do also hate stuffy nose, and taking antihystamine is good just to get relieved.

I get this problem every morning..it sucks!! I would recommend the tylenol liquid (I think it's blue) but if you are taking it during the day get the daytime stuff because the nightime kind will knock you on your butt...well it does me anyway...The daytime stuff has a cooling sensation that is really good if you have a sore throat or nasal congestion...it clears your nose as soon as you drink it!! It's great...it doesn't even taste that bad!
