I think that blessings come in many forms not only in monetary terms. Having a complete loving family is already a blessing even if they only earn enough for their needs. Being rich can be a blessing but it can also be a curse. I think the true blessing is having God, whether with much money or having just enough

I agree that having a relationship with God and a loving family is better blessing. Many non believers would ask, if God loves you, why ain't you getting rich or worry free?

Money more than necessity may not always be a blessing. In fct it might induce you to swerve from the path, if you believe in God with an idea of doing His bidding as the surest path to return to Him. But there aremany who are with God or who pray God thinking that He is a wish-fullfiller. For such people God's gift begins as a blessing. When it becomes a pain, however they would pray for peace the intangible thing. These take a longer route to His presence. Thus Money beyond one's legitimate needs is a Blessing for those whose idea is not necessarily to be with God in the End.It is almost a curse for thoise to whom He is the destination.
The Hindu view is a bit different. I will cover it in a different post.

having money beyond one's legitimate needs is a blessing-what can you say about having exact money to spent?

Yeah exactly, if you have money that measures up to yur needs that isa blessing. In fact Saint Kabir's couplet gives a good idea of "money for needs"
sa.nyI itnA dIjiye, jAmeM kuTumb samAy |
maiM bhI bhUkHA na rahU.n, sAdhu na bhUkhA jAye ||
The meaning of this goes thus:
Lord give as much to run my family.[What I bring home]should keep me above hunger, and also feed the one visitor who shall be at my door.
Well, lets us sy athet the sage was too modest and reflected his times. It may be well for us to get enough to run modern lives and needs that are justifiable. Like if it i justified that we have two cars so be it, but if there no justifiable need for it then it turns to avarice and would sow the seeds of our destruction of our peace.
If we really are Blessed by Him with money beyond our wildest needs we need to take it that He has provided us with a chance to see if we can help our truly unfortunate brethren, to help them stand their feet. I wouldn't want this to be told to me by the Communist Ideologist however.

Yes, sometimes being rich is really an attractive witness. But it's not the whole.
In fact, God don't make me rich, but I always think if God gave me a lot of money, such as winning the first prize in the lottery, what will happen? I will spend money randomly and without any plans. Maybe I will use the money up soon, and everything is as before, even worse. - I heard several reports about it. If I don't learn how to spend money in right way? Is it God's fault to don't give me much money instead of those just enough for my daily life?
I'm really realizing that everyday, I can have dinner with my parents, and we are happy, healthy, etc. All of these are the gift and blessing from Him.
You know there is a man called in Nick, an Australian and born without legs and arms. But he can surf and swim, what I cannot. How magical! When he witnessed God once, I remember he said, he used to dream that one day, when he got up, he would own legs and arms suddenly. But it hasn't come true yet. But what is witness? He is in good life without limbs, he is happy and enjoying the time with God, that is witness.
I know I said something related, I'm sorry about it, but I just want to tell my opinions. Haha...

it makes me realize that God knows our heart and our ways. He knows when to give us the right amount of money that we could spend. but what about those winning the lottery? did God think that a large amount is enough for them?

I really no idea about it! Nobody can understand God indeed, right? I think God guide everyone in different way which is very fit everyone themselves.
Even for me, I just learn to follow and understand Him by my heart! Enjoy the time with Him! Haha...

That's not always the case. If someone had all the money in the world, yet had no love for his or her fellow human being, I wouldn't exactly call that being blessed. I would rather be around a family who is blessed with love and affection, if not blessed monetarily, than a family who is well off, yet has no desire to love those around them, even each other.
I hope what I just said makes sense. I have a tendency to jumble my words up sometimes.

yes we can tell if someone is rich but has not loved, then it's not from God.

Wealth is not a proof of God's blessing. Certainly, He may choose to bless someone with great wealth, but the treasures we ought to seek are those built up in Heaven. We are to seek first the kingdom of God, and all its' righteousness, and THEN all these things will be added to us.
There are those who have nothing of monetary value, who are infinitely more affluent than the richest billionaire on earth, because they have their treasures built up in Heaven. Which would you rather have...eternal treasure, or something that will burn away like chaff in the fire?
If God does bless with money and wealth, I think it's our responsibility to use that blessing to further His kingdom. Certainly, He said test Me in this, and see if I do not open the floodgates of heaven to shower you with unending blessings. Give to God, and He will give back...more than we can handle, or comprehend.

i think not. we're given a freedom by God. it means, we can be anything whatever we want., become good or evil. that's included whether you want to work hard become rich or just sit down and you are poor. how about becoming rich with inappropriate manner? do you think this is God's blessing? absolutely not! the people might be steal some money, did money corruption, etc.

It just came to my mind...why does God allow evil doers to get rich? Does it mean the freedom God gave is also the freedom to get rich even through evil ways?

I don't think that God really has anything to do with being wealthy. There are some very evil people who are good at what they do, even if it is wrong, that are very wealthy.
I think the way to become wealthy is to find a niche and stick with it. You have to believe in what you do. And believe that you are very good at it. Some people may be very good at talking other people out of their money, and that is how they become wealthy.
However, there are some very fortunate people out there that are good people. They have always believed in what they do. And that has nothing to do with being religious or not.

Yes sometimes people get rich by just doing what they like or applying what they're good at. Can you conclude that we can get rich without God's intervention?

I have a friend who suffered brain damage from being pushed into a pool when he was a kid. He told me one day he was somewhat bitter that it had happened to him and wondered how much better his life would have been if it would never had happened to him. I told him "well...you never know what kind of man you might have been if it hadn't of happened to you". I pointed out he has a house a wife who loves him and a very talented son. If he had of never had been pushed in a pool as a kid and nearly drowned it might have been that his life would have been far worse or he might have been a horrible human being. Sometimes the quickest way to ruin a person is to give them everything they want, money can be as much a curse as a blessing.
