Chinese is a language that is being taught and learnt by many today because of China's growing economic condition. While I see that many websites offer translations in Chinese too, there is no such mention of Hindi, the national language of India. Is this because of the limited opportunities which India offer to the global business community, or is it because people are comfortable speaking in English here?

I guess you have a valid pointn there, Satan. Chines immigrants do outnumber Indians by a fair margin and because they are mainly into business, it helps others understand their language. Thanks for the post.

English has different position in China and India. In China, English is just a compulsory subject which is learned by students in school. After graduation, most Chinese people seldom use English in their lives. But in India, English is one of the official languages and actually plays the role of common language because many people who live in Southern India could not speak Hindi. So many wesites don't offer Hindi version for they think that educated Indian people could understand English without any obstacles. Nobody would ignore the potential of India. Proficiency in English is one of the advantages India has over China.
