Does a travel agency interest you?

I don't know whether this is the right place to ask such a question, but with such a wide audience, I'm sure there may be some who might be interested in running a travel agency of global reach.What are your views on this?

I have been researching and thinking about beng a travel agent. I found out that travel agents have a lot of resources that a traveler could not get and if they are good at their job can find a better deal. Also, if you don't have the time or ability to search thoroughly, they have the time and knowledge to do it and find you a better rate.

Precisely, stephwrites. This is what I wanted to share with like-minded people and the possibilites are many. Imagine if we could arrange for reciprocal tours and do justice to our clients by offering them the best of serices for a much lesser price! I wouldnt mind opening up a travel agency. Ill be able to snap up bargains when they come up. But it will be hard work though and I might not be able to travel as much. One of my dads friend has a travel agency. They get free arifares sometimes which is nice. They also get free tours to certain places so that they can experience the holiday and be able to sell them to customers. I would be more than happy to get those free flights.

Why start a travel agengy, it does not have a market any more with all the quick internet services. If i had money to run a travel agency, i think i would rather use them in travelling to places then just tell and encourage people to go vacationing there.
