When I was really young it was Voltron and Robotech. I used to watch it with my brother and step father. After my mom and him split up I stopped watching anime until I was like 11 or 12 when I started watching Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z with my brother. Then I kind of got bored with it and walked away again. Then I came across Inuyasha and Wolf's Rain one night when I was in college. And I have been watching anime ever since. I have looked and hunted for an anime that I would like as much as I like those anime.

I won't include voltes V, daimos, slamdunk & doraemon since those animes really didn't get me started. What really got me started is gakuen alice. Since finishing G.A, I moved on to Detective Conan and while watching DC I also watched Nijuu Menso no musume. After Nijuu menso no musume I watched Saiunkoku monogatari and after finishing this anime I still watched and watched more animes until I know every single character from every single anime. So far, I already watched 23+ animes and i'm still counting because there are more great animes to come and I still haven't finished yet kimi ni todoke and the anime version of W.S. As for Detective conan, it's the anime that will last forever......literally.

Speed Racer in the 70s was the first anime I had ever seen and it was love at first sight. I told everyone I was going to grow up and have a car exactly like Racer X's. Okay, probably giving a little too much info at this point, but I used to love Speed racer and the after school Japanese shows with the fighting robots and monsters.

Mine was Ghost Fighter or Yu Yu Hakusho. I think that was the first japanese anime that I got to watch and I really loved it. I accidentally watched the first episode and I totally got hooked. It was the first anime where I really got into and never missed a single episode. I would look forward to watch it after school.

There are many animes I fondly remember about from my childhood. There was "Candy", "Sandy Bell" - anime centered around blond little girls - followed by the action animes: "Voltron", "Macron One", "DarkStar", and it all culminated with "Sailor Moon". I think "Sailor Moon" is the one that left the best impression on me.

Well back int he day I remember seeing Speed Racer on one of Cartoon Network's marathon things. I forget what they called them back then. Later when they added that Toonami lineup that included Voltron. Of course I didn't know it was anime back then. Later I'd be introduced to Dragonball Z and Gundam Wing and Escaflowne and of course Pokemon and Digimon. Oh, and of course, Sailor Moon... But I consider none of these the one that got me started. It wasn't till around... ten years ago when I picked my own shows for the first time. I encountered Love Hina and Onegai Sensei through the wonders of Winamp TV. .. It was after both of those that I got online and found Air. Which is what I call the show that got me started, because from there I kind of went nuts with it. It's probably one of the best shows that never made it to North America. But yeah, despite the exposure to other anime prior to Air, but it was Air that really hauled me into this.

Back when I was younger before I even knew that they were animes I use to watch Pokemon and Digimon, and even Dragonball Z, but one day when a friend of mine introduced me to anime he said I should watch Inuyasha, so I did and I liked it a lot. So I have been watching anime ever since.

When I was small, I remember watching animes like Pokemon, Draemon and Detective Conan, and just thought they were ok. Then, when I got a little older, I discovered Alice Academy, or Gakuen Alice, and I instantly became in love with it! After that, I went into an anime craze and watched many animes, including Special A, Shugo Chara, Code Geass, Rumbling Heart, etc. And I will certainly watch more!

The first animes I remember watching were Yu-gi-oh! and One Piece I think... that was when I was living in Japan around 1999 or 2000... that was when I was still a 6 year old kid. Then when I came to Canada the first anime I watched was Dragonball Z.
And after that I kinda put anime on hold for a while and watched cartoons like Spongebob and stuff... then I started watching Naruto, and that lead to me watching a whole variety of animes up till now... and now I'm constantly looking for decent new animes to watch
