Common adulterants found in milk include washing soda or sodium hydroxide, urea, detergents and starch. Any mother would be shocked if she is urged to mix washing soda in her child's morning glass of milk. But according to health experts , that is exactly what moms are doing in the city unknowingly. Washing soda is one of the most common adulterants in milk sold in Hyderabad. What is your views regarding this ? What type of milk we use to our children ?

I always prefer packaged milk from trusted companies. It's true that there are man adulterations done in milk & many are going unnoticed. So Always try to the milk of a good company & I'm sure it won't be adulterated.

I would definitely go for packaged milk since there is little chance to tamper with the milk since it goes through a rigorous screening before it can be shipped out to the markets. How ever local milk sellers are completely free to adulterate your milk by the substances as you mentioned above. They have no one to screen them, maybe an occasional health inspector who they usually pay off. Right now I'm using Amul shakti milk. Its great since its packaged milk and there seems nothing wrong with the taste.
