Do you always drink softdrinks after you eat?

I have a friend who won't get satiated or full when she doesn't drink soft-drink after she eat. It was like she's addicted to it, I don't know if there was such things as addiction to soft-drinks. But for me, sometimes a pure cold water or apple drinks well do, after every meal or snacks.
So how about you, do you always crave for soft-drinks after you eat?

Im the type of person that rarely drinks softdrinks. If im out visiting friends and such i do drink it, but at home i believe i may drink max 1-2litres a month. The rest of my intake mainly comes from water, which i have stored in a bottle in my fridge to keep it nice and cold.

I wanna keep my weight down so I would avoid soda as much as possible.
i do drink it when i'm out though...probably twice a month...
but i try not have much...
it's hard to get rid of the unwanted curves!

Indeed it can be really hard to get rid of those, but skipping on the softdrinks certainly helps along the way. Even the diet versions are bad for you because of the sweetner in them causes other things to your body, it is just not about calories! Sometimes it seems like a scary world we live in, which we wont be able to understand to the fullest.

Yeah, the diet version has the same effect, though it has low in calories but it's high in sodium. And too much sodium in our body is harmful in our health. So it's better to skip drinking any soft drinks as much as possible either regular or diet.

At home we seldom drink softdrinks and sometimes I scolded my father because he likes softdrinks while he is eating. He said that it good for digestion n and I don't think so. From what I watched 1 glass of softdrink contains 6 tablespoons of sugar. It is bad for our health if we drink softdrink everyday so that's why I don't allow myself to drink softdrinks very often. If I have a cravings for sweet sometimes I drink juice or I eat banana. Water is better than softdrinks because it can helps to flush out the toxics in our body. Softdrinks can cause obesity and diabetes.

Not now, but just two years back, i was completely addicted to soft drinks just like your friend. I need to have it after every snack, meal or just like that .

Well it's great that you'd able to changed the habit of drinking soft-drinks. I just hope that my fried would be able to do the same. I've unceasingly remind her the harmful effects of soft drinks to her health.

Not during or after a meal, but I do like to have one every day. Usually just one is enough for me and it has to be a diet soda. Yes there is such thing as soda addiction, and it can be really bad for those who drink more than a couple a day. Usually I get the craving for one when I am driving in my car. For some reason I always like to have a diet soda while I am driving. I always get thirsty while driving and I like the taste. Plus I think it gives my hand a little something extra to do while I am driving.

One can of soda a day would be enough but if your downing to five to six cans then it can be harmful to your health. How about trying a bottle of mineral water or any can of fruit juices while driving?

Hey careguarden! I also like to have a soft drink when I eat!
I love to have either diet coke or some type of juice! I
like fruit punch alot too! I drink water sometimes, but for
some reason I don't like to have water with my meals! I like
the taste of soda or fruit juice with my food! It just makes
the meal!

Oh, that's not really a good habit of you. Fruit juices is great, but diet coke or soda is not really advisable for your health. Diet soda or coke contain aspartame, which connect with the depression,insomnia,hysteria and other diseases. And you must remember that drinking soft drink deplete water in the body. Processing of sugar in soft drinks requires a large amount of water in our bodies. To replace this water people should drink 8-12 glasses of water for every glass of soft drink. This was taken from an article 10 Reasons Not to drink Soft drink.

hi careguarden me I'm not always drink soft drink after i eat meal or before eat meal i prefer water with ice cold when I'm eating my meal water is good to health important is drink water 8 glasses of water everyday, because soft drink is bad for our health it can cause of diabetic because there a lot of sugar in soft drink. but sometimes i drink soft drink but its sometimes only because soft drink is bad to our health and body. most i like is water.

It's good that you made a habit of drinking water rather than soft-drinks. Yeah, it can cause diabetes, because the high amount of sugar in soft-drinks can causes the pancreas to produce insulin in large amount the result of sugar advantages and disadvantages and sugar can cause diabetes and diseases related to imbalance in the body.
So just keep on drinking water!

I don't necessarily crave soft drinks just when I eat. I drink mainly soda all the time. I will admit though, that there are certain foods that really do make me want a soda. Salty foods especially make me want a soda to wash it down. The drink doesn't make my meal, but it's a good accompaniment.
I know drinking alot of soda is a bad habit. It's something that I am working on.

Yeah, it feels great to drink soda,or cola after eating salty foods, especially with chips. So you must learned keep away your self from it. Even those regular and diet soft-drinks they have almost the same content with cola. Diet sodas are low in calories but high in sodium. Too much sodium intake is not good for our body,it may cause more calcium to be excreted in the urine and increase the risk or osteoporosis.

I like softdrinks and i sometimes crave for it after i eat.But softdrinks is not good for health because it contain lots of sugar and that is why i have to drink it less.right now i will only drink softdrink when i eat at restaurant.If i were at home i will take other drink like plain water or juices.

Yeah, soft-drinks is not good for our health. Soft-drinks are high in phosphate, when phosphate levels are high and calcium levels are low, calcium is pulled out of the bones. And also it contained hidden caffeine,refine sugar,and artificial chemicals And aside from that, soft-drinks also has large quantities of phosphorus, which when excreted pulls calcium out of the bones. Heavy drinkers of soft-drinks will have osteoporosis along with their damage arteries. Regular drinkers of soft-drinks will suffer a terrible health condition later in life.
So it's much advisable to drink water instead of soft-drink after every meal.

I think it depends on the habits of the person. For me,when I eat with my friends in the restarant, I always ask the waiter to give us some softdrinks before meal. But if I eat in the conteen, I seldom to drink sofr-drink after eating. I think drinking softdrinks after every meal may result in bad health problem. May be it does harmful to digestion problem.

Yeah, it is indeed has damaging effect in our health conditioned. Soft-drinks is high is phosphorus and phosphoric acid,they infiltrate bodily fluids and corrode stomach linings,upset the alkaline-acid balance of the kidneys, and eat away at your liver like Hannibal Lecter. That's why it's not a good habit to drink soft-drinks after every meal. Better choose fruit juices,and water.

i come from China, you know, China is famous for its foods.there are different kinds of habits in our country. In south China,people always have a drink befor they eat. but in north China, people drink after they eat or while eating. in my opinion, have a drink after eating is a helpful thing for people's health.

Yeah, every country and places have different preferences of drinks after every meal. I'm from Philippines it's a tropical country and here mostly people tend to drink any kind soft-drinks just to quench their thirst. And some makes it a habit of drinking after meal.

I used to be the person that was always drinking a soft drink. Before meals, during meals and after meals. However, then I decided that I needed to lose weight and I quit drinking many of the soft drinks that I used to drink. Now, I will drink one in the morning for the caffeine jolt and I will drink one with dinner. But, I won't drink one after I finish my meal unless my soft drink that I was drinking with my meal wasn't gone.
I am coming to the conclusion that I am addicted to the flavor of soft drinks and I am finding it impossible to give them up all together even though I know that they are not good for me.

Yeah, drinking soft-drinks was never good to our health. You can gradually decrease your intake. You know I have read this article " At the Naval medical Research Institute,we put human teeth in a cola beverage and found they softened and started to dissolve within a short period. The acidity of beverage is about the same as vinegar. The sugar content masks the acidity,and the children little realized they are drinking this strange mixture of phosphoric acid,sugar caffeine,coloring and flavoring matter". I was alarmed after reading this article, because I have some nieces and nephews who get used on drinking soft-drinks.

I too usually have a soft drink with my dinner meal. This is a habit I have developed. I know that drinking soft drinks can be addicted. Eventhough, I drink a lot of soft drinks I also drink juicies, milk and lots and lots of water.

Oh, now I know my friend is not alone. But good that you still managed to drink other beverages that's is healthy. Sad to say fried only prefer to drink soft-drinks. I do advice her to changed her habit. But she can't helped it, she can't live without drinking soft-drinks. If drinking soft-drinks can make someone rich, then she's on the first list.LOL

I only drink soda after eating when there's no tea or coffee available. I think it helps my digestion in one way or another. A friend told me that drinking cold water after meals or snack makes one fat.

Oh, it's not true that drinking cold water after every meals or snacks could make you fat. Water is very necessary to cleanse toxic and impurities in our system. It helps digestion and keeps our body healthy. And the more should you drink water, since you often drink caffeinated beverages. It can deplete water in our body and you need to drink 8-12 glasses of water after every soft-drink. No permanent supply of water in our bodies to continue will cause the chronic cellular dehydration, a condition that weakens the body on the serious level. In turn will cause a weakening immune system and cause various diseases. This was taken from article 10 Reasons Not To Drink Soft drinks.

Yeah, it could absolutely lead to obesity. When you're tired or depressed try to something that's is good and beneficial for your health. Any activity that you like, that's keeps you away from temptation to indulged your self in drinking coffee. Based on the article that I've read heavy soft drink consumption can interfere with your body's metabolization or iron and diminish nerve impulse transmission.

I am not a softdrink drinker. I must say that I only drink softdrinks occasionally. I would rather drink water or fruit juice. I think that is healthier. I don't think I would feel comfortable after drinking softdrinks if taken after a heavy meal for instance. I would just feel like my tummy is going to explode.

I never drink soft drinks always after i eat.There are times i drink soft drinks after chinese or pizza as it goes along with the chinese and pizza taste.I drink soft drinks once a while when i order pizzas or when i go out for some functions.Most of the time i prefer drinking water as it really cools my body.Some people are so addicted to soft drinks they drink soft drinks instead of water.

Hi careguarden, whether before, after or during a meal I never touch the ghastly things which are nothing much more than sugary water which does one no good whatsoever and rot the teeth and contain empty calories. I would imagine your friend must put on weight on a daily basis due to this nasty addiction.

crave, yes, but that is not what it should be now. i shy away from "temptations" from office mates who offer me to drink soft drinks. i know how it tastes and i know how satisfied i am after drinking it but i should restrict myself from doing so because of the high sugar level i am now experiencing.
we should all be careful with whatever we take into our stomachs ... they accumulate in our system and symptoms of ailments come up as u age. prevention is ALWAYS better than cure!

Well I was totally addicted to soft drinks and soda before. But these days I have cut it out from my diet and eating habits. It was making me put on a lot of weight in and around my ab area.
Since I have stopped drinking soft drinks, my weight is always under control now and my abs are also visible once again.
But I do cheat in on once can of soda once a month.
Water and water is the only thing that I drink after I eat.

Well it's great that you quit your habit of drinking soft drinks and soda. Though it's not really bad drinking soft drink or soda, but people should not make it a habit. And be aware the effect of it in our body.
