Ah! let's talk about one of my favourite hot drinks, tea! I love tea and I drink so many cups per day that I have actually lost count. Tea relaxes me, tea destresses me, tea helps me concentrate when I am reading a good book! What does tea do for you? Also, do you love loose tea or do you tend to go for the bags, quick and easy? Do you love brand tea or do you go for any kind of tea? I personally prefer the brand pg tips although if they are not available then I will go for the Tetley brand. I have never liked the idea of loose tea though, I don't like the idea of those flakes floating around, does that ever happen? So tea drinkers, what do you think? For those coffee drinkers out there, you can contribute too! If you don't drink tea then maybe this discussion can move you towards that, how sly I am!!! Andrew

I'm not sure I've heard of green tea! Is that a kind of herbal tea? Well, I guess I'm a one trick pony when it comes to drinking tea! I only ever stick with the pg tips or tetley! I'm sure that drinking pg tips helps me to relax a lot. I don't know how many cups I drink per day but it's certainly more than I can count, a rough figure I would say fifteen to twenty cups! I hope I'm not harming my system in anyway! Andrew

I love green tea too. Green tea originates from China and has become associated with many cultures in Asia from Japan to the Middle East.
Over the last few decades green tea has been subjected to many scientific and medical studies to determine the extent of its long-purported health benefits, with some evidence suggesting regular green tea drinkers may have lower chances of heart disease and developing certain types of cancer. Green tea has also been claimed as useful for "weight loss management".

Yes, tea is very refreshing and it certainly hits the right spot in my case. I think that it definitely helps with my concentration and so forth and I think that I have become really addicted to it now. It's certainly nice to get your hands wrapped around the hot mug on a cold winter's day! Andrew

Hello Andrew. I love to drink tea, either loose tea or bags. I drink tea every day from morning till it is time to go home from work in the afternoon. I uaually drink green tea and white as well. Tea helps make me more concentrated in my work and more wide awake, especially when I don't have a night's sleep. I need it very much for that purpose of keeping me wide awake for my day work. Take care, Andrew.

Yes, let's talk tea! I always get tea in bags AND I always buy Celestial Seasoning's herbal teas. For some reason Lipton, Tetley (and I know there's another commercial brand out there) all have a nasty aftertaste to them. Ugh!
I don't like coffee. The first time I had a cup was when my mom made me some when I was 13 and I thought it was one of the most horrible things I have ever tasted! Yuck!

Coffee can be very strong and I don't like it that much. Well, I will stick with the tea I think. I have already had two cups this morning and I still probably have another eight or nine cups to get through today. When you are sitting at your computer for quite a few hours the tea definitely helps in terms of concentration and relaxation. Andrew

BAGS definetly! I hate loose tea. its such a hassle and i hate it when i swallow some of it at the bottom eehh. i got a french tea press tho so tat keeps some of it out. still i prefer bags it tastes just as well. =) and soo much easier cuz it takes away the guessing so the tea is always good and not too strong or weak. i really like the Bigelow Green Tea with lemon. =D Ive tried other green teas and THIS one tastes the best! =) i like drinking tea, and green tea has tons of anitoxidants, which i love! =)

I'm glad that tea has these so called antioxidents! I'm sure that drinking tea can be quite healthy although I've never tried those so call herbal teas! They look quite posh to me with the string on the end which you hang over the side of the tea cup or mug. I should try that, tea with a touch of lemon, I'm wondering whether this would make the tea quite bitter though! Well, I guess I will stick to what I know. Andrew

I'm not sure I like the taste of lemon in tea! However, I am always willing to try new things I suppose! Andrew

Well, its my favourite discussion, not because i m addicted to tea, but its my business. yes its my business, infact business of my entire family. we are dealing in wholesale tea exports and imports since last 30 years, so apart from taste and everything i just love tea. its the source of income for me and my family. i drink loose tea made with my own hands, no pack, no brand nothing, because i know which brand uses what things to make it more flavourable. i guess normal people have never tasted the real flavour of 100 % original tea. but i can confirm this that i have as we have lakhs of kgs lying in our warehouses. the most costliest tea i had was 1500 rs./kg. and i tell u it was like awsome. the taste still pulls me to assam specially to buy that one. its not available in market, i got that as a gift from a garden owner.

Hi Andrew, I've been drinking tea for as long as I can remember and I've always enjoyed it. As a boy and young man, we had only loose tea and I remember how my mother would read the tea leaves after we were finished. She was no professional or anything and it was more or less for fun. I drank Tetley for years but in the last year switched to pg tips. I don't find much difference between the two and still enjoy my cup of tea. Blessings.

i like green tea. i do drink eat every day but lately i tend to be lazy to prepare my green tea. but it is quite bitter only on its own and i actually need to add some sweets or sugar. i don't know how chinese prepare their green tea cause i think theirs is the natural way and more healthy. the ones we buy on grocery are natural but they are instant green tea i think the ones that we have to boil for some minutes gives off more anti oxidants than those of instant green tea.

Well, I don't like too much fuss when it comes to making tea! I would rather boil the kettle, pour the water and get out of the kitchen as quickly as possible! I can then relax with a good book and so forth or I may sit in my comfortable leather armchair and relax in front of the tv! Andrew

hi andrew, do u know that assam( my state) is a land of tea gardens. tea is our prime drink. at the morning, just after bed, we drink tea. we take it almost 10 times in a day. as u have mentioned, it relaxes me and fuels me to do anything. my mom is a great fond of tea. we usually take milk tea. i have cow in my home and get milk from her. so we seldom take red tea.
thanks....

That's interesting to be living in a place like that, it sounds like that's the kind of place that I need to be living! I think that this is a psychological thing! I have decided that I cannot live without my tea and so I always have to have the supplies at the ready! I love the fact that it helps me to get through whatever I'm doing at the present moment. First I'm hearing about green tea and now I'm hearing about red tea! There must be a countless number of different teas to choose from. I know of the herbal tea but I have never tried that, some people say that it may be good for your system but I'm not too sure. You are so lucky to have your father actually own a couple of tea gardens! You have access to tea whenever you want! Andrew
