i don't think they'll be on count at the same time, since they are all not good at defence....

Mayo is a good SG, but shy would a team pay AI's big salary and not have him play a major role. AI screwed up Detroit's team big time, he is too much of a individual player, it will be interesting to see if Memphis would played better or worse as a team with AI in the line-up, but then they weren't that good to start with, anything may be an improvement.

In my opinion, I love allen iverson. He is my favorite player of all time. No matter what he'll have good chemistry with all teams. He didnt do good with the pistons because they lied to him. So as long as they dont lie, and tell the truth, and give him a chance i think he'll do good. The Answer FOR LIFE!

He really has had a bad reputation since the Detroit Pistons debacle but that was due to the coaching and front office not anything to do with AI. Richard Hamilton was coming off the bench for what reason I still don't know, surely that is the main reason why they did not do well as a team last season. AI was undermined by his coach and the organisation. I expect a different Allen Iverson this season.

I don't really followed the NBA anymore. What's the team from Memphis? Grizzlies? :S I must be behind my time. Anyway, I still remember Iverson from last decade but I don't remember which team he played for back then. Wasn't if Philadelphia '76ers? Sorry if my memory totally blows, it's been a long time.

He played for Philadephia, then Denver, then Detroit.
He was too much of a one facet player. He used to be able to shoot some 3-pointers, now all he can do is drive to the basket, he either score an easy lay up or get fouled, but if you defend him well, he will try to force it and miss.
The Nuggets traded him to Detroit and got Billup. He totally screwed up Detroit's team, they don't play together as a team with AI in the line-up, while Denver played better as a team with Billup, it's amazing what one player can change a team.

Allen Iverson is one of the greatest players of our era, He is a brilliant scorer who despite what you may read on message boards still has a lot to offer in the NBA despite his below par season in Detroit last season. That was more to do with the organization rather than him.
He won't be the incredible scorer of old but with the likes of Zach Randoplh, Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo he won't need to score as much. The Memphis Grizzlies could be a surprise team this season as they have a very good starting five if AI starts which he should do if Memphis want to get the best out of the team.
C Marc Gasol
PF Zach Randoplh
SF Rudy Gay
SG OJ Mayo
PG Allen Iverson

If he is out to prove that he can be a team player then yes. If he is out to prove that he still has game left then no.

No. I think the Grizzles are going to be just as bad this year as they where last year. It's a shame because Iverson has all the talent in the world and is so stubborn and selfish. He would rather start on a terrible team then to come off the bench of a championship caliber team. It's just sad. I hope I'm wrong though because the Grizzles have a lot of talent on their roster with Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo.
