Black, brown, white, etc?

I have no choice- all dogs are beautiful. Have you heard that black dogs are the ones least likely to be adopted from shelters? Apparently people subconsciously consider them to be 'scary'. So very sad. I have a dog that I adopted from a shelter 5 years ago. His name is Eddie and he is a Chihuahua cross fox terrier. He is a red/tan colour and he's my good little man. I also have a pug and she is faun coloured. However I regret buying her because after watching her sometimes struggling with her breathing I have realised that breeding these deformed dogs is so wrong and from now on I will only buy from shelters.

Hi alatecablebill, I like dogs that have alot of flash to them. For ie., my Aussie is a blue merle, with tan markings and, white flash. He has blue eyes. Ofcourse, I paid $1000.00 for that coloring plus I wanted no crossing in the bloodline. I got what I paid for. He's going to be 13 years old and is the picture of perfect health.

I've had all sorts by now I guess! Right now I also have 2 dogs, and haha, same thing one is black and the other is brown. I don't know if it's more because of the type of her breed, but black dogs seem to be more quiet. While brown dogs seem to be the most active ones.

I have a brown dog here, but she was a stray that I thought was too cute as a puppy to allow her to become roadkill. However, my preference would have been black. I just love the color and to have it on a dog is, for me, priceless. Cheers~

I prefer dogs with fur.But my son has an allergy which can lead to Asthma hence we have to buy a dog with less fur.I like collies but was compelled to take a German shepherd .But i don't regret the decision as it is very faithful and affectionate to its master.My German Shepherd has black domination with some brown fur.Its coat is medium.I love all colors in dogs and have no particular preference.

I don't have a preference. I think it all depends on the type of dog. Some dogs look better with black fur than others. If you were to buy a dog solely on the color then you might find that you have not got the dog you really wanted.
