I rarely skipped any classes, but at one time I was so angry at all the teachers for being unfair and lacking common sense that I decided to stay home for an entire week. I only went to the classes held by the only teacher that was fair at the time.
And let me tell you I got a whole lot of time on my hands. I finally understood the so-called class mates that rarely joined classes - I didn't miss anything important and I got a lot of extra time to take care of other important business.

I skip lectures in university because they aren't particularly useful and I can be more productive studying at home. Needless to say, I rarely study in the timeslot when I skip class..but eh. It's just part of going to university, I think.
I rarely skipped class when I was in high school, though, because penalties for doing so were pretty harsh. I'd only skip if I really needed to get an assignment done that was due the next period or something. ;)

I guess cutting classes are part of student's life. I mean your life as a student would not be completed without having to experience those things. It somehow adds up a spice although too much of it is bad. lol =)
