Today, I was trying to clear up my wardrobe, as I have not been going to work for the last 6 months, and been staying at home. Thinking that all my working attire will need to be kept, rather than hanging in the cabinets.
I took out all my clothes, and hang it one by one for those that I will be wearing, and for those that I don't think I will, now stay in a big box (wondering will I still wear them one day)..
Then my mum came in, and was asking why didn't I fold those hanging T-shirts and stack it up.. but I just prefer hanging them.. it's easier for me to reach those clothes, and I can have better views of what I want to wear.. I am sure if I stack them up, I will only grab those at the top..
So, dear MyLotters, who do you store / keep your clothes? Lets share and thanks for responding..

Every week on Saturdays mainly there is a woman who comes to iron every of my clothes in my cupboard and she is the one to arrange all the clothes which I wear to go to work on hangers. As it becomes much more easily for me to take it every day.

med889.. I used to get those helper too..and my mum is very good in ironing.. me, a bad person in that.. and I will go through the attire labels in order to make sure that those clothes I buy, don't need heavy iron..
For my working clothes, I used to wash by hand and hang dry.. so, it wont be that crumble...

I am a stay-at-home mom and basically just need jeans and shirts. I put away formal clothes at the back of my closet. Actually, I re-arrange according to the season. Like now, it is autumn and I will need more sweaters and cardigans, thicker socks and jackets. They are resurrected once again since I will be using them more often for at least 5 months.

involved62, I could understand your 'strategy' in arranging your clothes.. however in the country that I am living, it's either hot or rain, therefore most of our clothes are suitable for all year long.. maybe during the rainy days, we just got to have some long sleeves but not till to have think clothings yet.
thanks for the response and happy MyLotting

What you are doing is a 'strategy' by itself and one that you're comfortable with.

well, I fold my t shirts and jeans, and hang the cloths that can't be hung or
shouldn't be. also, I keep some of the cloths in bags or boxes, and some
are stored in drawers.

Dear cwong77,
I too just like you. Those working attire - in a big box!
Casual wears hanged in the wardrobe for easy access and
home clothes folded and stacked at the side.
My sister will immediately cleared those that she can't wear
because she has started with size 'M' to 'L' and now 'XL'.
I can't wear hers because I am a size 'S' person. So, she will
put them in the plastic bag and off to the Catholic Church for
the needy :)
All the best and have a great weekend!

Iriene.. this morning when I am packing them.. I really feel sad coz it's like a parting moment.. also all my maternity clothings too.. now asking those friends of mine if they want the maternity clothes coz it's still in good conditions..
I am always a XL person, so my clothes are all like many many years in the cabinet! some of them even more than 10 years since I started working! muahaha... and yes, I just sent 3 big bags of clothes to the charity box today.. and tomorrow will have a few more to go..

Hi Cwong,
Everyday I will fold my dry clothes nicely and arrange them properly in the cupboard. I can't stand my cupboards with a messy shirts all over the place.
For daily wears, I will arrange them on the front level, easier for me to reach it.
For outing wears like dress, branded shirts, etc - I will hang them nicely with hangers. I arranged them according to the colour of the shirts/dresses.
For jeans, I fold them nicely and put in at the back level.I have plenty of jeans in my cupboard. I like to wear jeans out as it looks more casual and feel more comfortable.
