Response to discussions in mylot?

maybe they are just too lazy, like what you said. maybe they don't have anything to share to that discussion. i have started discussions that got no responses because i think none can relate to it. lol. but it's okay.

Hi ajayrocks, well it's 19 hours now since you posted this discussion and I note that you have not commented on a single response you have received and have no idea if you intend to. However if you don't I would remember your avatar and make no further responses to any more of your discussions, along with the many other discussions I don't respond to due to actual lack of discussion when the person who opens the discussion then has nothing further at all to contribute. If this is left as it is by yourself you have then done absolutely nothing beyond posting a question which will earn you nothing at all as you only earn by commenting on the responses and creating interaction.

There are so many discussions started here in mylot that its hard to keep track of all the discussions. It is very likely that good discussions go unnoticed. Another member had suggested that if you have a good discussion which has no response then you can send the link to your friends and ask them to respond. Right now also, you could have added the links to the good discussion which does not have response.

In myLot there are different types of people. A topic may interest you, but that won't be of any interest to many others. So always think about a topic that a lot of people can answer rather than categorized topics. Also remember that members are from across the world & not from a particular country. Happy Lotting

I guess there could be many reasons why fellow members don't respond to some of the better discussions. If the discussion is put in a high traffic area or section, it will get pushed down when someone else starts a new discussion. Maybe other people feel its not worth their time to respond or maybe the discussion doesn't interest them that much.

Well, one of the three: - Either the discussions aren't really that good. They may seem to you but they aren't necessarily good just because of that. It takes a bit to find that good topic that appeals to everyone. - It may be a topic that someone is shy to talk about and thus they refrain from leaving any opinion. Or maybe they're just about to do so but something comes up and the slightest wavering in their thoughts is enough to give up in replying. - The discussion got lost. It doesn't take much for a discussion to slink away with nothing but one or two answers and then it's when it becomes difficult to respond to because it neither shows up on the new or recent discussions, but it won't show up on the "no responses" tab neither. So, putting all of these 3 together (each with a different impact) and it brings you to what myLot is. I guess that I'm a newcomer to the site, but I don't really believe it was always that different from what it is right now.

But it seems very embarrassing that now a days myloters have gone lazy to respond to discussions or they are fed up of it? No, we're not lazy, just not interested in participating in that discussion. Whenever I come to MyLot, I usually reply to a discussion instead of starting one. It's an easier method and there's a lot of discussions that attract my interest. There's also a lot of discussions that make me feel not interested to reply so I leave them alone. Some are repetitive discussions, which I usually don't reply in.

I guess some people are not interested in topics to which they have no coherent responses to. Personally, I see a lot of interesting topics and discussions but I cannot provide any relevant answers. It is easy to say yes or no, I agree/disagree but this is not very helpful and certainly not a poll.
