I have some friends who want to learn yoga. We had our first class this morning, and everything went ok. Their primary language is Spanish, though, and I don't know any Spanish for yoga. I'm worried that as we get into more complex asanas I won't be able to explain the moves correctly. If anyone has any experience with this, I would really appreciate some advice. I will teach yoga to anyone who wants to learn, but I know it has to be taught correctly to prevent injury.

As a Yogi of some 30 years I am sure you can demonstrate the Asanas no matter how complex. As the class is in progress, walk around and position your students correctly in the pose. Language is not that important in a Yoga class. Much can be taught by demonstration, and display. The best description of a Yoga Asana is the illustration of proper technique.

if it suits u i think u can search free spanish sites online.get the basic translation done and give them so that they can protect themselves during the asanas and benefit from it fully.you can always supplement with your demonstrations.
