Do you agree that salty food is always more tasty? For me, I think have salty food, it will be no healthy...
Too much salt in the food will make you bloated and it’s bad for your blood pressure and your heart, too.
Have you try any salty food and you just craze of it? Do share here.
For me...
I like french fries, I normally eat Mcdonalds french fries. It is good that you can add more salt where the saly packet is easily get from Mcdonalds staff.
I like to eat chips from Lays. But I find that Lays is just too salty, but still I like it. Anywhere I don't eat Lays in front of my kids, I just don't want my small kids to take too salty food. I eat my Lays chips they have fallen asleep.

hi bingyan06 of course salty foods always taste better b ecause most of us c rave salt but still its not healthy. howeverone can get a lot of snack things that now are either low salt or saltfree, so why deprive yourself of something you love when you can pick the salt free versions. I love Lays potato chips but I buy the baked kind as they are lowere in salt and no fat added. I have high blood pressure so must not add any salt as it makes me feel awful.

Hello Hatley,
Thanks for your response. I never see any snacks with low salt or salt free. But I am wondering if the snack is free of salt then how does it taste like? Will it be taste less? Any where I will go to the supermarkets and get some low salt snacks.
For Lays, so far I have only tried the only flavor. MAybe I will try the baked type to get a try. Thanks for sharing.

Hello my friend
Thats cute you eat your chips when the kids are asleep I am going to tell lol, I have high blood pressure so I stay away from anything that has to do with salt, sometimes I do crave it so I will eat utz potato chips it has little or no salt and that gets rid of the need, weird how we crave certain things, so you say Mcdonalds fries are not salty enough for you, maybe they are trying to kill people here because it is ridiculous the amount of salt they put on their fries,
Thank you.

Hi Vingyan,
Too much salt in our food is not good for our health. When I do my cooking for my son, I never add salt, instead I am using Maggi Seasoning for his food.
I like to eat french fries too, must add more salt and it taste even better.
However, nowadays I try to cut down my intake on fried food, high in cholestrol and too oily.
I am not a titbits lover since I am young . I hardly buy any titbits for myself.
With my son around, I better don't stock up any titbits at home,or else he will\ keep ask for titbits too.

Have you heard of anyone say salty food is not tasty or insipid food is tasty? I haven't. But you have to watch your BP. Fried food tastes good, too. But you have to love your heart, also.
In essence, to take everything in moderation. God is good. He disallows us to over indulge. Most of the things we over indulged and end up the doctor telling us we have to cut down. For example, I love durians, squids, nuts, mushrooms, meats, sea-foods and those purine-rich foods and my doctor advises me to cut down because I suffer from gouts. This is usually the case, the
food we love we have to eat less because we over eat.

Yes, that is absolutely true. Salty food always does seem to taste much better than normal. It gives you the feeling to continue. Some kind of addictive factor. In the case of normal salt this factor is present but not to that extreme, as when compared to the Chinese salt called Aginamoto. It adds a lot of flavor into food. The lays you love to eat surely contains this and that's why even though you know it's too salty you are not able to tell that it not tasty.

So it's the mother sneaking the chips from the children hahaha!
I wonder how you keep those chips without your kids knowing it LoL!
I love sweets except candies but not salty food. Too much salt is really not good for one's health and whenever i eat something salty, it makes me want to drink soda which i don't like too. I also limit the use when i'm cooking. But well i do keep some potato chips like lays like you or pringles with sourcream&onion flavor just incase i feel like eating one...maybe that would be once in 2weeks..

When I look at the ingredients to packaged food I often see salt listed. Salt can be used as a flavor maker. Yes, chips like Lays can have much salt in them. A flavor of chips I like is salt and vinegar. They would taste even better if just have vinegar and no salt. I don't add salt to my food I am glad to say. Too much salt in a diet is unhealthy.

I think it also depend on taste of everybody. With me, I think if we put salt, the dishes will have taste more and have a good appetile. It's very tasteless if we don't put any spice into the dishes. However, if we put too much salt, the dishes will be salty, it's not good for the health.

am not really sure that the food products of the brands you mentioned have a lot of salt although it is common knowldege how health professionals always say these types of food have too much salt. i think big named products are wary of this and try to use a normal amount of salt in their food. am able to say this because too much salt makes me hyperventilate or even throw up. i don't experience any of this reaction with the products you mentioned .

Salty food used to be quite a weakness for me. I constantly craved salt. The things that I most enjoyed were french fries with catsup (a little bit of salt mixed into the catsup). I love to eat Fritos (had them for the first time in a long time last night). Then there is country ham. That is my current weakness. We tend to make soup beans and corn bread for dinner about once every other week for two reasons, a) it tastes really good and b) it is cheap to make. I always buy country ham to season my beans with.
However, I really have cut a lot of salt out of my diet and when I am cooking I don't add any salt to whatever I am making.

It's true that salty foods are more tasty. Unfortunately, it comes with a price. They can cause significant health problems if they are abused. My favorites have always been pretzels and potato chips. Anyone else share these?
