When can we copy

Well friends, I like to type my discussions in Ms Word then like to paste it in the my lot editor but my lot is giving this message "In order to help prevent spam, only users with a rating greater than 500 are allowed to paste. If your rating is greater than 500 and you still cannot paste logout and sign back in". I did not understand why this message comes and no content is allowed me to paste. Can anyone tell me what is this rating and how one can find what is his rating.. Help needed...

hi madhu,
i still get this message and the simple reason is mylot differenciate between new and old user because it wants you to get 500 number in front of your name before you can start coping and paste. it is simply because that mylot doesnt want that people should join this site and start posting their links all over the place or start coping others answers and then scam all the mylot. new members dont know rules too and 500 is good enough for everyone to know rules so this restriction.. it is up to you how fast u reach 500.

I had read the rules and according to my understanding, one should reach to 500 posts then he or she will be allowed to copy paste their content. This rule is but harsh but one has to compromise and move on. I do not think it is hard task to complete. You have already posted 234 and just reach to 500 mark and then you will be able to copy and paste your content. I wish you have understood, I am vey long way to reach that mark and I hardly get any time to be on my lot. Wish you all the best.

Well I too intially thought that but the message says that rating must be more than 500. So, I got confused, are you sure that after 500 posts one will get chance to copy paste..

When the number in brackets beside your username reaches 500 THEN you will be able to copy/paste.
It is not available immediately so that users do not spam and plagiarise. By the time they have reached 500 they will be aware of the Guidelines and have learnt what to do and what not to do here so that it is like a 'reward' for having got that far.
I know it can be difficult without it, especially if you have a bad connection but you are half way ther now - just keep going 
....but i guess you may believe him until proved otherwise.
