Actually every morning my mother gave me my breakfast in bed. I don’t have a time to go to her and take my breakfast there . I eat my breakfast as fast as I can and go to bath. But sometimes it is reverse, I go to bath and then have my breakfast. During weekends I also take my breakfast in bed, I don’t like to stand and dine on the table so my mother bring the breakfast in bed for me. And my mother know and expected every weekend I wake up late, so mostly I take my brunch in bed. Lol

My last breakfast in bed was probably when i was in the hospital back in the early 90's when i had my gallbladder out. That is about the only time i can think of. I hope to have it again soon though when i go meet Mr. Right. haha It could happen. I could find some really sweet guy who would do that from time to time.

Hi jugsjugs,
Break fast in bed I think when my second child born and I was in hospital more than two years ago. Otherwise I can’t even imagine about the same. Do you know why, I have to prepare the breakfast at home so it is not at all possible for me eat at bed. But I like the idea even though it is not possible.

I don't have a habit eating in bed. In my country, breakfast is the rarely meal. Because we don't have enough time to eat at home include eat in bed. We always have kitchen and we have breakfast, lunch and dinner in there. When we have disease, we can't go to kitchen to eat. At that time, we should eat in bed.

We don't have breakfast in bed. We do the morning routine and then have breakfast on the table. We don't like to eat without brushing our teeth. We see breakfast in bed as a bad habit. I know there are few people who have breakfast in bed.

i first heard about "breakfast in bed" during the press conference of the winner in the miss universe contest. it seemed breakfast in bed is meant for kings and queens. as for me i have my breakfast in bed every time i get sick. i just can't get up so mother has to bring my breakfast in bed.

Honestly i never have tried breakfast in bed yet, maybe in the couch when i am sick but not in bed. I have seen scenarios like that on movies for a new couple where one of them prepare a breakfast in bed and i find it sweet and romantic. Well i would like to experience that in the near future. It will be very sweet and romantic too if my husband to be will prepare me a breakfst in bed:)

I get it all the time! At least on the weekends. I could make a list a mile long about my dh and things that I don't like about him, but... right there on the top of the other list, the one with things I do like is that he likes to make breakfast. On the days when we don't have to get up early I like to sleep at least till 9 or so but he is a early riser and can't sleep in. So when he gets up most of the time he will start cooking and I wake up to the smell of bacon or whatever. Sometimes he has to wake me up himself and says here, its time to eat. hmmm, yes I do love this about him! Oh and I am always grateful and make sure to tell him how good it is.
Thanks for the fun topic!

To be honest with you, I can't remember the last time I had breakfast in bed. Unless, of course, you count when I fixed breakfast myself, and then went back and laid in bed to eat it while watching a movie. In that case, it would probably be back in the Spring of this year.
Sometimes, if I am at home alone, I like to get up and fix breakfast. Then take the food back to the bedroom and eat it in bed while I am watching a movie that I may or may not have seen before. I guess it is just a way for me to wake up slow and easy. I do this most often on Saturday mornings. But as I said, I haven't done this since the Spring.
When it starts to get cooler in the Fall, I may do this again. I like to be under the covers until I get my shower taken. The shower usually warms me up, but until then I have a tendency sometimes to be a little chilly.

It was years ago when my kids were alot younger they are now 28 and 31. It was mother's day. I remember eggs, bacon and toast with a cup of tea. I would love that again but I know it won't happen again in my lifetime. At least I don't think so.

Ok, i am torn as to how to asnwer this question! LoL
My bedrom and my living room are the same room...(i live in an apartment with my brother, he has the bedroom and small extra room upstairs, i have my bed in the "living room" downstairs...it is like we split the apartment into two, but share the bathroom and kitchen) so if it is my day off, and i am hanging out with my boyfriend, it is not unusual for me to go make breakfast, and then sit on my bed while eating it and watching the price is right with him, while he sits either on the bed with me, on the couch or at the computer...
But i don't think that really counts..
because when i think of having breakfast in bed, i think of someone BRINGING me breakfast in bed, that i don't have to prepare. i think of someone bringing me a try with food on it to me in bed before i have ever even gotten up....and in that sense, i have NEVER had breakfast in bed. Which is sad, i would like that...will have to think of a way to mention it to my boyfriend with out it seeming like a demand LoL. he almost always gets up before me if i don't have to work. It would be really nice to wake up to him bringing me breakfast..maybe if i let him know how appreciative i would be afterwards *wink* he would be more apt to do it. But i think he is probably afraid of waking me up. I have this horrible habit of being in a horrendous mood if i am awoken from slumber unexpectedly....it is why when if i come home from a long, hard day of work and lay down to take a nap, he has learned to just stay out of my way and leave me be for about half an hour after i wake up, as i am incredibly grumpy! He is probably afraid that i would be grumpy if he woke me in the morning, even if he was bringing me food!

I have never had breakfast in bed before, actually. My parents always considered it the most illogical concept ever, considering how tarnished the bedsheets would become if you spilled milk on them and also the hygienic aspect behind it, as you are eating before your brush your teeth. The last time I had an overnight surgery, they refused to let me eat until I had left the hospital the next day :(

I don´t remember when I had breakfast in bed for the last time, but surely it must have been at the hospital or at home the first days after that. In fact, I hate breakfast in bed. I don´t know how to put my arms or legs, it seems that the cup will fall any minute, the bed will be later full of crumbs.
I wouldn´t mind, if I had a maid, to have breakfast in my room, watching TV, seated in front of a small round table (that I don´t have either). As it is, I make my coffee and bring it to the computer to have breakfast with my friends here, at mylot.

I've NEVER had breakfast in bed. My mom used to have a strict thing about not eating anything outside the usual dining areas. Unfortunately that was DEFINITELY extended to bedrooms. Besides, I don't think it's that fabulous to have breakfast in bed because I'd find it so hard to keep the tray steady AND of course...you'd get crumbs everywhere. Like...EW! You'd end up having to change the sheets and vacuum and everything! I'd much rather save myself all that hassle and just eat breakfast at the breakfast table. xP
