Do you want your spouse to be smarter than you?

I often think about this question that when in pair,we do like to fall back upon our partner.Especially wives like to be comfortable and want to feel cosy in the company of their husbands.I know it may sound weird but i always want that my husband should always be there to cover up my mistakes and follies and i do not have to feel embarrass.In a way he should be cleverer and smarter than me to be able to protect me.
What is your take on this?
For men ,do you think you are smarter than your counterpart?
For women,do you want your husband to be intelligent than you ?

well i do appreciate much if my husband is smarter than me.we can share so much topic.i will also think very well to answer all the question he asked.for me it is a plus if the guy is smart or intelligent so we can share everything.

Yes you are right,if he is smarter and ingenious then we can share and discuss anything with him and he will guide us through thick and thin.

I won't appreciate my wife to be smarter than me because it will create an ego problem & other related problems. However incase of a woman, I think her husband should be smarter because women prefer to have a partner who is reliable. A wife should be smart because a smart, Intelligent, caring & loving wife is any man's dream.
Luckily I got a girlfriend who is smart, intelligent & beautiful
but not as much as I am.

A very good topic I must say,,a simple coment is that the 2 will be Perficient in different fields,generally acording to the education and experience etc,,,one complimenting the other the other,, In case one is more intelligent than the other,,it's not a problemas long as the other does not sit down and be lazy

Ya you are right.As long as two are compatible with each other and if one is smarter than the other,he/she can handle difficult situations in life very well.Even if one is not proficient or i must say patient enough to handle crises ,then other can fill the void with his presence of mind.

Why is the feeling of insecurity hovering over you when he is smarter than you?I think it is quite boastful.
