what are the things you do when you are under stress?

when i am under stress i just want to be alone,i do not want any noises.i also want to sleep when i am under stress and i ate a lot just to forget my problems for the meantime.i also listen to mellow music it makes me relax.what other stress management you do?

when i am under stress, i like to be alone too. if i am not broke, i go out and watch a movie or do some window shopping. if i am broke, i stay home and go online.

When under stress my immediate solution is to sit up straight and breathe as deep as I could then.would do some simple stretching exercises and then I would pray and this last step would be the most helpful one because it erases all stresses completely. The best thing to do is pray. I always ask God to help me cope with whatever problem that caused me to to be stressed. God immediately responds to me, as soon as I pray, God promptly moves to make me feel his presence. It takes a sincere and honest prayer to keep the stress away. All a person need is a personal relationship with the Lord so that in times of stressful moment there is someone who could comfort him.

If I feel under stress, just listen to my favorite songs. Sometimes I got my pen to write anything that is in my mind to forget what makes me stressful or a problem. Then I write what is going on, to find out what the best way to resolve it.

I just listen to a very good song or music. But the best thing is a small sleep if I manage it. But I am in deep stress then I prefer talking humorous things with others. Sometimes I take a walk in the vicinity and seeing others & thinking about myself & my past and present deeds. It passes the time and so are my stresses.

Not only that it relaxes me in a hugh amount. After that I can even give a second thought on a plan I previously left. But walking is the best one for me because it distracts me from my stressful condition.

Usually I just stay to myself, or depending on the situation I would call a friend she usually makes me see things different, but I normally stay to myself and try to sort it out my own way, being her at mylot is a great stress reliever for me, just talking about different issues people are having giving advice helps me to see things different, stress in itself is such a pain in the neck I admire people that don't allow anything to stress them out, I am really trying to get this point myself, I am getting better I still have a ways to go.

hi amyson, when i am under stress i like to do sports,like doing yoga,playing basketball or badminton,walking around the road alone the sea coast.
doing sports make me tired and easily forget all the stress i face, so the stress go away with my sweat.
maybe you can have a try.

that is like me. i would rather be alone. i would rather have some time to get my mind right. however having two kids at home along with my sister and her baby. I don't get to much alone time. so i just to go away in my head.

I usually will try to find something to get my mind of from whatever is stressing me out. I will either spend time with a friend or get into a good book or hobby. Sometimes I get on here. Work is a good place to forget my problems for a while. It does no good at all to worry and I know that. I find that if I get my mind off from things for a little while then I can better deal with situations. Music also helps.

Hi amyson! When I am under alot of stress I also don't want
to be bothered! I don't want to talk to anyone and sometimes
if I can sleep I will sleep as much as I can! But, I have
insomnia so I am usually up all night trying to fall asleep
and then I can't get up during the day. I will also spend time
here in mylot because my friends here seem to cheer me up more
than my friends that I have in my "real life". I feel like
my friends at mylot understand me alot better and they are
more "real" friends to me than the people around me! I also
go to a therapist and psychiatrist and am on medication because
I do suffer from severe depression. But, there are times that
I do enjoy going out with my friends shopping, or out to lunch
or for long walks! But, unfortunately my stressful moods usually
take over my happier moods.

Sometimes I want to be alone, but then again if it's a lot of stress stuck in my head, I sit down and write out a list of things that are going on, and try to think out the resolution. Doesn't always work, but then that's when I want to be around people, so I can get their input, yah know, after I have my little freak out lol

If i under stress probably i would listen the diffirent kinds of light music.the light music enable me to ease the stress.Instead of thingking about the problem i encounter i just immerse myself in the music.Then i will find that stress are disappear.It's amazing!

Stress really take out our frustration and to control it we need to spend some more stress,I like to reduce my conversation and may be take a drink of a cold a water first.The depression too come along and make one feel the heat all over him/her.
Most definitely headphones music gibe me refreshment for free and I get a new phase of time all together.The extra noises do make me freak out,but I try and make the talking go away if anyone yet at that time come with any extra problem.

AS a therapist, I help people deal with stress and what has worked for my clients primarily is to learn meditation and how to live with a more focused mind. If the mind isn't worrying about the future or past, then it is focused in the present moment. Stress only comes when we try to change things that are in the past or future.
I have practised meditation myself for around 30 years. I also play piano and that can help lower stress levels, because I have to concentrated and be mindful of what I am playing. Music has the power with many of us to take us into different worlds of our imagination which provides lots of opportunities for relaxation and mindfulness. - Derek

This will sound very strange, but it's true: When I am under lot of stress I do something that is not quiet: juggling!
It works for me! I love to juggle balls. So I just juggle for an hour and because I have to be focused to do it, I don´t think in anything else. In the end I fell more relaxed and tired. Then, I sleep and voilá! The stress has gone!

anyways everytime i am stress i will surely go to sleep,
by that time i want to relax and i want to cool down myself specially my mind..

I like to run when I get stressed, it just seems like if you exert all your energy into running it gets you mind off the stress and eases your mind. Also, after words you are so tired if you run hard enough that you can take a nice little nap and sleep on the stress which after all that I feel much relieved. Also I am an avid runner too already so thats why I like it.
