I don't like horror movies, but there are still scary movies that are not horror movies at all. And so sometimes i have this feeling that i want to see a movie that will give surprise and that will me want to hold my breath. i don't want any thing too violent. any thing that can give me a little scare is enough. i am going to look for some action with some scary or breath gasping story. i will buy a dvd soon.

What is the difference between a scary movie or a horror movie? Are you talking about scary movie series which are nothing but comic movies? I have seen Scary movie 3 and 4. Yea, I can say that to some extent these were scary but at the end, it was only a comic movie, isn't it?

scary movie for me is any movie for movie can be horror or not horror. so i prefer scary movie that is not about horror movie. i mean i don't like those movies with too much exorcism and etc. with the head turning 360 degrees. i hate those kind of movies it makes me puke. i can watch scary or horror as long as it will not give those kind of scary scenes. like scary in some way, i like the Twilight, their looks are quite scary and you will surprised in some fight scenes but you won't get afraid after watching the show. you can still be alone and not be scared.

i think you are really brave to watch a very gory movie without being affected or scared after watching. but me i usually like a mini nightmares while i am doing something else. just the scene of those gory movies will continue to play on my mind and that would have bother me so much.

The feeling of a person can be so realistic and unrealistic too,to get the fear off a person there are so many things everyone says to follow, the scaring yourself thing is a little surprise.I always try and make the emotions run wild in me and my friends by the horrifying pictures and clips, that goes with movies too as you too have a similar opinion. Well the scary part is the one when you watch are getting scared alone when the superstitious things comes to your mind and you can't stop thinking about it.

I like to watch horror movies as long as it is in good taste. Its more exciting to me but not too much violence, ok. I dont know why I love it but I feel like I am one of the characters (the survivor... hahahaha). I get more carried away, maybe thats why, hehehehe.

Hey hotsummer! I hate scary movies and usually never would watch them! But, my crazy azz boyfriend seems to love them! And since he bought a DVD player he brings home some of the most gory and scary crap that I have ever seen! Sometimes I am just in the room and can't seem to stop myself from watching even though I really don't want to and then I am sorry I did watch them because they are so gory and horrible! He loves those ax murders, and really gory killing ones that scare the crap out of most people! I now have seen some of the worst movies that have probably ever been made! Last week he brought another one home where the murders where the most gruesome of all! The last scene the guy's head got blown off in a microwave! Yup! That's my boyfriend's idea of entertainment! Pray for me will ya?

it seems you really scared yourself so well that you were not able to sleep at all. i do tend to be scared after watching one. so i will not watch something that i will be too scared of that i will not be able to sleep at all.

All throughout my life, I have not been a fan of horror movies. They just rot in your mind and stick in it everywhere you go. One experience, I watched a scary movie, back when I was pretty young with my girlfriend, and I couldn't watch it like a little baby. I was trying to be tough and watch it as my girlfriend is bear hugging me like she was really scared, but she saw me close my eyes and then laughed. It was a very sad and awkward moment for me. But we still was together, but I just wished I could have taken that moment back and told her I was busy with like a family outing and couldn't go. I still had nightmares that night even though I only watched like half the movie. That was the first and last scary movie I have watched. I always have nightmares like the monsters pop out of my trash can as I do chores. (Yes, I was that childish and paranoid.) Up to this day, I still watch comedy movies and avoid scary movies with my friends. I don't really want them to know that I'm not a huge fan of it, because they might think I'm a baby or something. So that's why I try and stick with sports when I go with my friends and occasionally good funny movies. Good luck with your scary movie and remember that it is not real! Hahahaha, have a nice day!

I like scary movies, but it depends in my mood. There are times that there are horror movies which are only a thriller, meaning not that scary at all, often times, There are horror movies with a lot of violence and usually morbid actions, which is disgusting but I admit is really scary.

I can't watch horror movies alone at night. Which is strange because my sister all my life has made me watch every scary movie no matter how stupid or bloody or gorey it is she loves them all. But if I'm alone at night I will so freak myself out lol. Another thing I just can;t watch htose ghost hunter shows at night. My word I start to hear noises and all this mess. I know its in my head but I'm still a mess. I'm that girl at the movie theater who covers my eyes. And if its too scary I will just get up I almost had to walk out the first time I saw The Grude and all my friends said it was so stupid but I was still scared.

Well, I suggest the saw movies, unless it has been suggested already...there's also the Resident Evil movies, I hate zombies, yet I still watch those movies, I can't help it...zombies WILL happen by the way! They'll be trying to find a cure to something and then BOOM, zombies will arise! Now if the zombies will be the same from the movies, as in eating brains, who knows? They could also have full facility of their brain thoughts and urges, and just be able to walk around and such...still be freaky yall!

those zombies are not that scary actually for me. there are more scary scenes than zombies. though the costume of zombies are pretty scary. but if they will show they are eating humans. i will just close my eyes.

I may watch scary movies, but, that's usually because I know there may be a good plot underlying rather than any shock effect or something. I plain and simply have either grown an immunity to scary stuff, or perhaps it's because I'm more constantly trying to scare other people that I already know what to expect and when, from others and movies or even games. I can't really watch scary movies any more in order to get my blood pump working.

Hi hotsummer, well I'm actually a horror addict, and pretty much appreciate anything scary.hehe But if you want to get scared but still has a good story line, I suggest you try "shutter". It's really my favorite and has a good story too. It's an asian horror film but I'm not sure if hollywood had made a version of it already cause I heard they were interested on making a remake. Anyway, hope you try it, it's really worth the time. =)

I have the feeling as you,but most of the horror movie can't scare me now, especially the violent and gore movie. The movie that i used to be afraid of when i was a child doesn't look so scary anymore. Besides ,there are just too much censorship in the movie.

i don't know if i should be happy if scary movie does not affect me anymore after watching it. cause i don't want to immune with those gore scenes, like i don't feel any thing. it makes me feel i don't have any more conscience if i don't get affected by those scary and violent movies where the victim were murdered violently.

i did feel sorry for the victim, but i what i mean is that i think the gore and violent scene are not scary unless it happen in real life.In my opinion, those scene are just pure violent.

as long as they don't show in details how that blood came to be it is alright to see some blood in movies. but if they will show so much violence and suffering of the victim in the story like he was tortured. then i avoid watching it.
