So I was recently found out that I have what is called gouty arthritis, a painful form of arthritis, and was wondering if anyone else here may be going through every day with it, and how you deal with it. It affects me when I'm hardly doing anything at all or the simplest things such as sitting here typing for instance, or if i've walked for too long, and that's only like 30 mins and it seems like it kicks into gear. It sucks because the doc said that I'm not the type of person this would happen to. It's normal something that happenes to men and only 5-10% of women that have already had menopause. Here's the kicker i'm a woman only 22 years old and i'm quite sure menopause hasn't come early because i have two wonderful boys. just thought that I would through this out there and maybe someone could give me some insite as to daily living with it, because it sucks to know that I have arthritis at such a young age. I've read all there is to read on this, just want a real person's advice. Thanks

I hear one good way to long-term prevention is to avoid uric acid in most red meats such as pork and uric acid in legumes such as beans etc. I think drinking lots of water, too would help cleanse the body of "gouty?" toxins ... Something like that Cheers
