Are you an Ice-Cream lover?

Hi Iriene, Another ice-cream lover. I like Walls ice-cream. Last time when I was at my hometown, there are alot Walls ice cream seller will passby my house and I will buy Cornello Walls almost everyday. I don't really like yam and vanilla flavour. Given some choices, I prefer durian and mango and peppermint flavour. Do you ever made our own home-made ice-cream? I have some recipes at home,but yet to try it out too.

Hi Shia, The fried ice cream is commonly made by taking a scoop of ice cream frozen well below the temperature at which ice cream is generally kept, possibly coating it in raw egg, rolling it in cornflakes or cookie crumbs, and briefly deep frying it. The extremely low temperature of the ice cream prevents it from melting while being fried. It may be sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and a touch of peppermint, though whipped cream or honey may be used as well. It is available in some of the restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, but I forgot where I have taken the fried ice cream, it was very long time ago... Maybe you can go any supermarket to check on the Haagen Dazz moon cake ice cream, I just saw it at Jaya Jusco super market and Isetan Super Market! I like Durian Shia, I could not get any Durian moon cake with fresh durian ...

Hi Vingyan,You should try on durian mooncake with durian flesh.I can't remember the bakery shop that selling the mooncake. But if you were to go to Singapore during this time, it is easily available at one of the shopping mall. They will have an area at the centre,displayed all kind of mooncake from different bakeries shop and restaurants. Do you ever try on Swensenz mooncake?I tried their ice-cream mooncake before. It is taste not bad. Talking baout fried ice-cream. I ever tried it in Singapore once at a Japanese restaurant. They pour the ice-cream liquid into the teppanyaki hot pan and we DIY ourselves. It is quite fun and have plenty of flavour to choose.

Hi Vingyan, I ever tried fried ice-cream once when I was in Singapore. it is quite unique and taste nice too. That is my only time I ate fried ice-cream and I hope I will have another chance to try it out again. Mind to share with me where can I find fried ice-cream in KL?? Maybe I can give a try on my Dec trip to KL. Haagen Dazs is an expensive ice-cream and I will only have it once a while. Not so often, or else my husband wallet will have a Big Hole. Ice cream moon-cake? I never try it before. Does it taste nice?? I don't think I can get ice-cream mooncake at my place here. My mother-in-law just make the jelly mooncake and Phing-Phi Mooncake this afternoon. I love eating them and I can simply finish up 1 whole piece of both Jelly and Phing -Phi Mooncake. You can see that I am a big eater.Have a huge appetite. I love mooncake and I miss the durian mooncake that sell in Singapore. It is an original durian flesh inside the mooncake and has to be served cool. I used to have the durian mooncake every year when I was in Singapore. Never miss it as it is my favourite mooncake.Maybe I should consider going to Singapore during the Mid Autumn Festival to have my durian mooncake and visit the Lantern festival at the Chinese Garden.

It's an ice cream flavour! It's basically strawberry ice cram with the biscuity stuff from the bottom of a cheesecake and a slight taste of the middle of the cheesecake. It's really, really nice! You should try it if you like both ice cream and cheese cake! :)

Hi Thoseappleslooknice, Another ice-cream lover,but that is your past. Eating too much ice-cream is not good for our health.I always drink plenty of water after eat ice-cream. You mentioned about Strawberry cheesecake, is it an ice-cream ?? or cheesecake? I love cheesecake too, I used to make my own cheesecake,but now I am getting lazier.

Hi thoseappleslooknice, The strawberry cheesecake that you mentioned looks very yummy. I hope I can find it at my place here, but I doubt so. Most of the ice-cream that sell at my place are mostly from local.Only Walls have more varities. Haagen Dazs ice-cream is only available at Giant supermarket and not many choices to choose.\

I used to eat at the outlet in 1U, however no idea if they are still serving that now.. oh ya, root bear with ice cream and the hot waffle, it reminds me A&W!

Hi Cwong, I am curious to know which Haagen Dazs outlet do have ice-cream buffet? Maybe I can go to try it out on my coming December trip to KL. Oh,eating ice-cream with a cup of coffee.I never tried it out before as I don't really like to drink coffee. I love to drink rootbeer with ice-cream. That is one of my favourite drink. It is nice to serve ice-cream with warm wafer too.I always have it on the restaurant buffet.

Hi Jane, OMG...you can eat one galon of ice-cream. That is alot!! Can your stomach take it? The most I have is 2 -3 scoops for ice-cream.Not more than that. I am so worry about my weight and has to cut down on ice-cream consumption. I plan to lose weight for another 3-5kgs within this 2 months. So Ice-cream should not in my menu again. Do some exercise to burn out our body fat after eating so much ice-cream.

Hi Janebeth, You are super good...1-2 days to finish 1 galon of ice-cream. A small bucket need me about one week to finish up. I can't eat too much ice-cream as it is very cold for my stomach. Do drink plenty of water after eating ice-cream!! Wash up your mouth..!!

yes i can eat all of them but just give me 1-2 days of eating it..

Hi Woaini, Talking about Singapore,I used to buy ice-cream stick or with wafer from the roadside along Orchard road.I love eating ice-cream.They have different kind of flavours to choose. I also like Paddle Pop when I was young,Now walls have so many different types of ice-cream and I seldom eat the ice-cream nowadays. I prefer to buy in bucket and eat with bread. My mother used to make the ice-cream that you mentioned,put in long round plastic and put into the fridge,I love the Plum and greenbean flavours.

Hi Buchi, I am curious on why you take a vow not to eat ice-cream? Do share with me your story. I am looking forward. I am glad to know that you really manage to get yourself out from not consuming ice-cream in your life. It is not an easy task and you MAKE it!!Congratulations !!

Hi greenline, Another ice-cream lover here. Chocolate is not my favourite flavour. What I can say is that I am not a chocolate lover. I seldom eat chocolate too since I am kid. Chocolate will get me put on weight faster and I better stop eating chocolate so often. So you ever been to ice-cream buffet since you are an ice-cream lover? Have you ever tried fried ice-cream? I tried once before in Singapore. The ice-cream is being fried like a teppanyaki and it tastes great.

Hi Hotbiatch, Cheese flavour ice-cream?? It is something new to me. I never see this ice-cream available at my place here. May I know that ice-cream is under which brand? I don't like coffee and chocolate ice-cream.SOmetimes,I do take it too,but I prefer other flavour like durian,mango and peppermint. These 3 are my favourite. I also never try avocado and coconut ice-cream. What I have before is ice-cream with fresh avocado. It is good and I have it at Swensenz. So any thing new to share with me about ice-cream in Philipine? I would like to know more about it.I do hope will have a chance to visit Philipine one day.

Hi Jules, Ice cream is a favourite food for everybody especially for kids. Even some old folks still do like ice-cream. I don't really like vanilla and strawberry ice-cream. My favourite is Mango and Durian flavour. Recently I tried Kiwi and Dragon fruit ice cream ,is under KINGS brand.I am not sure this brand is available overseas,but it is available in Malaysia. Pretty cheap only cost RM4/bucket.

Hi Jen, Sad to hear that you can only eat ice-cream on certain occasion. I believe when you gets your first pay, the first thing you will treat yourself will be an ice-cream. Not all ice-cream are expensive. Go for something taste nice and having a reasonable price. You can try out Walls ice-cream, it does not costs much actually and it is worthy to eat as they are a very good ice-cream.

Hi Morange, Why do your parents scold you when you take ice-cream?? As long as you don't over-eat,it should be fine. Always bear in mind not to eat ice-cream early in the morning. At least after your lunch and dinner time should be fine. As for my kid, I limit him to 1 cone of ice-cream or 1 slice of bread with ice-cream per day.Not more than that.Or else when he gets cough,it will be my headache.

I am just wondering whether walls ice-cream in Pakistan is similar with those one in Malaysia? You are also a big eater.Can eat alot of ice-cream at one night. Nowadays,Walls has come out with new type of ice-cream,it is a mini cones with different flavour like cookies & cream,black forest,etc. My son loves that mini cones Walls ice-cream.He will open up the freezer fridge and take out the ice-cream by himself.

Hi Gyverd, Of course, Walls and HaagenDazs are 2 different kind of ice-cream. The price is so much different too. I can't afford to have HaagenDazs ice-cream all the time,but once a while is Ok. Normally I will go for Walls ice-cream,price is affordable and have many kinds of flavour and choices and easily available in the market too. I don't really like chocolate ice-cream. I prefer fruity ice-cream like Mango and durian. Both are my flavours.

Hi Archie, I also try to cut down on my consumption of ice-cream. Especially for my boy, I don't let him eat ice-cream everyday,worry that it will caused him cough. During hot weather,ice-cream will be the best dessert. Serve with some raisin and roasted peanuts on top, I can easily finished up 1 big bowl of ice-cream. I also like sorbet, as it does not contain milk and taste refereshing. I can't find any sorbet at the retail supermarket here. When I was in Singapore, there is an ice-cream shop selling lemon sorbet and almost every weekend, I will grabbed a cup of sorbet to satisfy myself.

Hi Taztheone, I never try out blackcurrent ice-cream. It is my first know that there is such flavour for ice-cream. I don't think Walls ice-cream do have this flavour. So normally which brand you will go for ice-cream? Any specific brand? Thanks for letting me know that ice-cream has do good for our body. All the while ,I eat ice-cream but never know the advantages.

Hi Sharonelaine, I can say that you love your grandchilds alot. You even get ready an ice-cream at home for them when they visited you. I love ice-cream but not fancy of strawberry and chocolate flavour. They are too sweet for me. I prefer something fresh and mint like peppermint flavour. It is quite hard to find peppermint ice-cream in the supermarket.
