Are you Short Tempered?How to control yourself?

I have seen many people who are really very short-tempered.They get angry very quickly.Just one wrong word (even a slight joke) messes up the whole thing. I am one of those short-tempered ones.But i think i can control on some occasions. How to control yourself? Please tell me. Every response is appreciated!

not really!! an advice to you:- just look towards the earth when you're angry..and after sometime the anger vanish.. i just follow this concept and works quit effective for me.. try this.

I'm not a short temper person,but i do believe i can give any short tempered person a small advice on how to deal with this 'short fuse', it is vital for us not to take everything and word too seriously from another person, as no one is perfect and make mistake once a while, so we have to think of the positive side of any person and try to forgive n forget insulting word from anyone, so long as we start to let spirit of forgiven grow inside us, we will tend to overlook any insulting word or let fiery verbal conversation to bypass us.

i too am short tempered.anything can provoke me to flow off the handle.but lately i have started practising deep breathing or simply moving out of the situation till i regain control.later on thinking what made me react in this way so that i know potentially provoking situations..i am benefitted with these drills. u can give them a try.

Hey amitnaik Frankly speaking I am little bit short-tempered but I know how to control my anger. Whenever I get irritated I immediately concentrate on book or I pray to god and immediately calm down. I know it is very bad but I can not control. pkc3000

So i have to carry books with me then.What if i am on the highway in such a situation?I don't have a habit of reading.I get annoyed during reading.That my biggest bad habit.Please help me.Thanks for the idea. I appreciate your response! Have a nice day!

If you are very angry sit down for a while, drink water, be cool if the anger continues lay down for sometime. Anger will vanish . Please try this.
