Hi the nuts you have stated are indeed good for health .each one contains essential vitamins .But over indulging in any thing is not good for health this may lead to obesity. It is not like that they contain good fat ,but yes walnuts are loaded with omega 3 fatty acids which are good for heart and prevent aeging process ,almonds are good sources for vitaminE.So try to include them in diet

Yes what you say i right.I've read articles that having 5 almonds or 5 walnuts a day is good for health.I'm advising moderation and not excess.

I like to pack some almonds, sunflower seeds and raisins for a day hike. These are extremely nutritious and light to carry on a day hike. However, I do not want to have all these in my daily diet. I have a tendency to over-eat when reading or doing work. Sometimes I did not even notice that I had finished half the bottle of mixed fruits and nuts while reading newspaper. The calories easily reach 1,000, and without feeling full. At least I control the amount of dried fruits and nuts I bring along for hiking.
