Where have you gone on vacation, and had such a great time that you had to go back for a second or third time? What was so exciting about the place?

My husband and me went to the himalaya last year...It is breathtaking up there...the journey was tedious but worth the trouble...so lovely up there to see the magnificient mountains, snow capped mountains...Oh such a memorable and lovely trip it was to such a remarkable place, that I feel like going back...The mountains are calling me back ever since I left their valley...

...Hi malpoa, Even the name himalaya sounds exciting. I have only seen pictures, and looking at the mountains, it makes me want to try to paint them if I could. Thank you for your response, it really creates a picture in your mine. Take care.

Hi artistry, well I used to love to holiday so much in Greece with its seemingly perfect weather, its stunning landscapes and blue seas, and the friendly people, that I never wanted to return to the UK. So I exchanged countries. Of course this is real life now and not a holiday, the weather is far from perfect, but the landscapes and sea remain stunning, and the Greek people friendlier than they first appeared. The pace of life is slower and more relaxed, and crime is practically non existent in this area. So now of course I don't need to go on holiday anymore.

...Hi there t, You just wrote a perfect story in a short space, I used to interact with someone from Greece, but we lost track of one another over time. I have always thought of Greece as being one of the most spectacular places to visit in the world and that the people of Greece were so lucky to live there. Enjoy, you made a great choice of places to live. Take care.

I've been back to the Four Corners area many times since my mom used to have a condo in Durango. We went to Mesa Verde on several of these occasions and I could still go back. The ruins are large and beautiful (well, I am very fond of ruins.) There are a lot of them, and there's no way to see all the ruins in the Four Corner's area in one trip. Besides Mesa Verde, there's Hovenweep, Chaco Canyon and many smaller ruins sites. Heck, it'd probably take a YEAR just to see the ruins in Chaco, for a fairly small canyon its got LOTS of ruins!

..Hi ElicBxn, Thank you for your response. Now this sounds like a place that you would want to write about. I'm sure there are a lot of books on these places, but have you thought about documenting your trips, for others to enjoy. Or have you already done this? Take it easy.

I went to Sydney and it became my favorite city. I loved the white sails of the opera house and the gray harbor bridge. I enjoyed walking in the botanical gardens and seeing the friendly parrots. It was so wonderful that I went back there a second time. I have been to Los Angeles three times. I like it but the reason was flight routes to Australia and New Zealand. I have visited Singapore three times and I like it there. The reason is flight routes again.

...Hi there maximax....Thanks for your reply. It looks like you have been making the most of stop overs, which is great. I remember once a friend of mine gave me an airline ticket, because he didn't like to fly, his daughter worked for an airline company and I only had to pay like three dollars in taxes for the flight. I went to San Francisco, with a stop over in Las Vegas, had a ball for three dollars. Can't remember if I won any money in Vegas. :o) Take care.

Our favorite is driving to Mammoth Caves once every couple of years. It is amazing to walk through the caves on a tour and the nature is beautiful there as well. Besides that, it is not really far away from our home which is always a very important thing for us. There is another wonderful place that I've visited only once but that we are planning to visit again in a few years. That is Venice, Italy. I went there when I was a teenager and my husband has never been so we are planning to take a vacation there in a couple of years when our children are a bit older.

...Hi dorannmwin, How nice of you to share. I once visited Crystal Cave in Pennsylvania, and your description reminds me of that. It was wonderful to look at the natural beauty of the caves. Thanks again.

I've been to Rapid City, South Dakota which might sound strange at first but near there you'll find several caves including Jewel and Wind Cave national parks, plus there's Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument, and Custer State park for scenery including wild buffalo and prairie dog "towns". There's also Deadwood and the Black Mountains. To the east are the badlands and to the west (with unfortunately a boring drive) is Devil's Tower in Wyoming.

I've been into Palawan Philippines few years back and I really loved it! Those lushful greeneries and almost untouched sorroundings will destress you to the fullest! The nature works its best in there on every nook and crany of the place. Even the city area, though there are lots of inhabitants in there, it does not seem city-ish. It is right to give credit also to the officials who taking good care of the province. Very nice. No pollution whatsoever. You can even bathe on the river just under the bridge where the public transports are passing by. The place got unspoiled beauty that traveller who want hiatus will greatly benefit on the calm and solace amabience that Palawan offers.

...Hi ishipandya, Thanks for responding. You sound like I think sometimes. There are so many places here in the United States that I have never seen. I am hoping that at some time in the future, I will get to see the Grand Canyon, and other places here in my own country. Take care.

...Hi burrito88, thanks for your comments. These sound like very interesting places, I would love to see Mt Rushmore, and I have never seen a live buffalo. The United States has so many great places to visit. Maybe one day I'll be able to see more of it. I do love Las Vegas for the excitement, and Alaska is spectacular, even in pictures. Take care.

My husband and I go to Niagara Falls, Canada every year and have done so on the same weekend of the same month every year for eighteen years now. He even proposed to me there in front of the "bridal veil" falls. Years ago Niagara Falls was considered the honeymoon capital of the world. I don't think it is considered that anymore but I still think it is one of the most beautiful places to see and very romantic. There is way more to do at Niagara Falls than just seeing the beauty of the falls and taking the Maid of the Mist tours. The hill that leads to the falls (Clifton Hill) has Ripley's, rides, wax museums, arcades, gift shops, food, and much more to see and enjoy. Oh and I can't forget my favorite place there........the CASINO! Yep, definately Niagara Falls, Canada is the best vacation place for me.

.....Hi tulog09, Thanks for responding. That sounds like a fun place to go to have a good time. White sand, wow, makes for nice pictures. Oh, not to bring up bad news, but are you in touch with family, if they are still in the Philippines. I ask because of the typhoon there on Saturday. Are they alright? Take care. Louise
