Tell me which is really God from the choices. CHOICE 1 : This choice is that there is no God. Life is what it is. A lifetime then gone. CHOICE 2 This choice of God has God impersonal. The machinery as it were allows us eternity of lives. There are no rules or laws just freedom to do whatever we choose. We are spiritual energy. Some say everything is made up of this spiritual energy. CHOICE 3 This God is all powerful. He has sent a son or a messenger to show us how we must live. He has inspired holy books with laws and rules that must be followed He makes us accountable for these laws and rules but does not guaranty everyone has a copy of them. This God allows for freedom of choice but is not happy when you choose against His laws and rules. Failure to follow His rules results in burning in a fiery pit for eternity. This God also demands worship and praise. God is always right and you must never question Him for He has the might to punish you and the will to do it. This God proclaims love for everyone but does not hesitate to burn souls in a fiery pit for eternity. For following the rules, souls will get an eternity of happiness. Their entire purpose will be to worship and praise this mighty God. This God will also have enemies. There will always be those who can't follow all the rules. There will be those who don't understand the evil they do. There will be those who demand not only freedom of choice but freedom from laws and rules. All these souls going to hell will hate this God. They feel this God has no justice in Him. For what crime could justify eternal hell? The test of life was also unfair for some had easier tests. CHOICE 4 This God is beyond the ego problems of man. This God has created a universe of children. God loves all His children unconditionally. With this love comes the wish that all His children learn wisdom. This God allows total freedom from laws and rules of holy books along with the freedom to make any choice one wishes. In order that God's children understand their choices, everything you do will come back to you in time. It is the only way to understand what our choices really mean. We will become wise. When times are good, we sit back and enjoy the ride. When adversity hits, we have to think, plan, study, analyze, and grow in so many ways along the journey. Adversity is part of learning. People take adversity personally. Soon learning is impossible. This is the reason for death. Death is no more than a change. Everyone will know God's unconditional love that heals all hurt. We soon realize that it has never been about punishment but education. Knowing what unconditional love really is, we want to be that way as well. We see our life and our choices. We judge ourselves!! One lifetime can not teach it all. We will do it all and be it all. Other souls will volunteer to go through great adversity in order that we understand. This too is part of unconditional love. We will go through eternity with purpose to learn all that can be learned along with helping and teaching others along the way. We are all a family in this together. This God has no enemies for the unconditional love He has for His children is something we all would do anything for. The hate, jealousy, greed, and envy we know so well, will fall by the wayside through the understanding of what it actually is. One day, like God, we will be beyond such petty things. Over time after acquiring great knowledge we will realize that there is only one answer, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! OK! It's time to CHOOSE! Choose 1-4. If you have another choice, share that as well. A God capable of creating all that you see has to be very very smart. Everything God does is complex with great intelligence. Which is the intelligent God?? Which is the true God?? CHOOSE!!

Hi bird, If we chose the wrong one than, I guess we're in trouble at least that's what we've always been told. Sorry, number one doesn't cut it with me, I've been around this old world long enough to know better than that. Number 2 has some good points but I think there are rules, what we sow, we reap. We may think we can do whatever we please, but it only delays our progress. Number 3 uses fear to scare people into being good, and fear is not a tool that an all loving God would use. It's like this test, only there are a lot more choices and so a much smaller chance of being one of the lucky ones that go to heaven. Of course, I can't sing so I wouldn't be any good in the heavenly choir anyway - so cancel that one.Number 4 then would seem the obvious choice, but it appears to make God into a personal being, someone separate from us and I feel that we are all interconnected although we all maintain our individuality. All life, not just humans, not just the animal kingdom, but all life comes together to make up God. In other words, we are all one. Some of us will learn the truth before others but I also feel that there will much more that we would not even be able to imagine here. Thanks for a great discussion. Blessings.

We are connected with God. We are spiritual beings in our true natures. Animals?? don't they just has less knowledge and fewer capabilities??? Quantum mechanics is showing the possibility of muliple dimensions and universes. I believe they are infinite. Things are much bigger than we imagine. Man thinks he is so smart but the truth is that we are ants. There is so much more to learn. Our adventure continues. Thanks for your comments!!

Hi again Bird, I agree that we know very little, Jesus said the kingdom of God is within you and other great teachers have said similar things. The problem with religion is that they've lost sight of the truth that was the very basis of the original teachings. In my opinion God is found everywhere and in all living things, even the earth itself is a living, breathing organism. These are just my thoughts and I expect that all of us will be greatly surprised as I doubt very much that it's possible for us in the physical to comprehend the divine. In between physical lives, if reincarnation is true, we will probably know much more than we do now and have a better idea of what we need to do next. Blessings.

hi bird, God is wht we say the positive universe, even universe is always trying to be apart from the negative universe and be positive universe. we are also here for being with the positive universe,we all were with the positive universe but the impact of negative universe made us like this.all life forms is here to attain positive universe,we can do anything,we are free,no laws and rules. For being back to him the best way is to mix religion and science and drink tht healthy drink. i believe our ancestors where taught the secrets of universe by peoples from other dimensions(not scientology).in ancient times vedas,(sacred book of hinduism and is pure science from beginning to end) which is not written by humans, was brought to world by 'manus'(as it is said in vedas) manu's where 14 of them and they are the keepers of veda.

So you are hindu and your holy books come from people of other dimensions? Hmm? If these books are pure science from ancient times and come from other dimensions, why has man's technology progressed so slowly. People who travel dimensions are far advanced than we are even today. If the universe is charged energy then it should show up somewhere on some scale. Interesting however. What would happen if you ran into God? Would He be considered just another traveler??? Vedas you say. I may have to look into this to satisfy my curiousity. Thanks for your comments.

I choose none of the above.....now one may think that means I choose #1 but I dont..I PERSONALLY dont believe in "God" but that doesnt mean I dont believe in some sort of higher power...I believe though that the higher power isnt directly involved with us BUT that doesnt mean we are free to live as we see fit without any consequences to negative actions etc...Everything is two sided and ever action has a reaction etc etc....What I personally believe doesnt really fit into any of your 4 categories

You might not fit completely with any of the choices but you have a solid foundation. You are also open for possibilities. Now if you were to happen to bump into God, you would be there. It would not take any major change in your thinking. Thanks for stopping by with your comments!!

There is no definite conclusion we can arrive at. The mosr logical to me seems to be the impersonal, cosmic consciousness. If we observe life rightly, it is not difficult to come to the conclusion there is no creator God, whether cruel or unconditionally loving. The question is not of searching and thinking, but of proper observation.

I have to add some more. Your statements that God is eternal and we are also eternal are nothing but absurd. if we do not have a origin, then a creator cannot exist. And it does not matter whether we are in linear time or some other time. If we do not have a origin, then God cannot exist. You cannot have both things tohether. Either you are eternal, then God is not. Or you are not eternal, then God is. God giving us pain in life for us to learn lessons is also absurd. To grow in life, we need joy and not pain. If your God had any sense, he would see that everybody we full of joy and no pain. Pain only causes more pain. On the other hand, joy grows to even more joy. I know this from my own personal experience. Moreover, we have enough problems in our day-to-day life. There is no need for earthquake, hurricane, war etc.. A God who does nothing about all this is nothing but insane.

You can have God as being impersonal even when He is not. When you bump into Him, that will no longer be valid. Sometimes it takes a will to want to discover to get real answers. In other words, the best team doesn't always win. Sometimes it's the team that wants it the most and really puts out effort. So you want a life of 100 per cent joy. You are just spoiled by God because you have known Heaven. When times are good, you sit back and enjoy the ride. When adversity hits, you have to think, study, plan, analyze and grow in so many ways along the journey. Doesn't adversity breed invention?? Having it made won't bring you this. Now for the hurricanes. Without the total view of every soul and the lessons they need to learn, you can never make accurate judgement calls. Out of every bad thing that happens, something good comes as well. Just look at our advances in the science of weather, earthquakes, food production, energy. If these had never been problems, I guess we would all just be getting fatter and fatter as couch potatoes. You say God is insane. God is not insane. God's intellect is so far above ours, we do not UNDERSTAND. But we are learning. If you must have 100 percent joy along with heaven, don't worry. It will come around again soon enough. God can't help but spoil His kids. It has never been about punishment for anyone.

Whether you are a weak person or not has never been an issue here. Has it??? As far as hallucinations go, don't I sound rational?? Perhaps the fact that I do sound rational is what bothers you. Are you so sure of your ways that you never question them???? You say you believe that God does not exist. Deep down, I don't believe it's true. God means alot to you. Why else would you care to keep commenting? Because you do care. I know you have been hurt by much that happens in this world. Don't define yourself by your hurt. You can make it. Unconditional love that heals all hurt will be here before you know it. Be who you must! It's a part of the plan!!

No. 1: No - I have empathy for those who feel this way. No. 2: No - In order to Know God, he must become personal to you. No. 3: No...You have described a very punishing God...God is love, and wishes for all his children to be with him in eternity. While he may not be happy with our choices that we make, he gives us time to grow and learn from our mistakes. Additionally, God forgives 70 times 70, therefore, his mercy and forgiveness exist. I don't believe in a Fiery Pit. Hell is a just a place where we are deprived of God's Prescense...which will cause great suffering. No. 4 No - it appears you believe in reincarnation - more than one life...and you believe that it is all about wisdom. The greatest commandment of God is to love God with all your heart, soul and mind. ...that is above Wisdom. So, Bird...unfortunately I can't agree with anyone of these.

No fiery pit. Isn't that what the Bible tells you?? OK! can't believe that. God has to be very smart to be able to create it all. Does this sound wise Follow my rules or I won't see you again!! Doesn't that sound like a.....CHILD?? I'm afraid it is all more complex than that. Simple stories are told to sway people into believing. God is very very smart. That is why few really understand. I'm afraid we all still think too much like men. To understand God takes lots of work, lots of studying, lots of thinking larger than we do,and mostly open our view. Even my view is much to narrow. There is so much to learn. Forget what religion has taught you. Go to God like you said, a child. Ask to have a wider view. Thanks for all your comments!!

Sweetchariot, I would not let any of my children go no matter what they believe. I would find a way to fix them if they were broken no matter how long or how much trouble it was. After all, that is unconditional love!!!

Bird...My belief is: when we die, we will all see God, but for those who have denied the existence of God all their lives, have the chance to repent after they die, when they come face to face with him. If they still deny him, then they are sent to hell, which is a place where God is no existent through out eternity. Why would God allow someone to enter his home, if tht someone does not want to know or love him. Would you allow someone in your home who has denied your existence all your life?

This a Good Discussion and you are carrying it forth very well I must say, Bird. Kudos. There are some good questioners. There are some vociferous and passionate ones like me, who are engaging you. I read all your FOUR Choices: May be I have something of all of 'em, and may be something different. I will state what I found most comfortable to stay with, and you please take the trouble to push it in whereever you want. So, here goes. There is ONE Residual Reality. Everything there is just THAT. Me, you, and everyone and everything that you can take as "created", sentient and insentient. Now it is your choice to call THAT ONE by a name like GOD, YAHWEH,Paramatma, Brahman or whatever or better still do not name it at all. Thus in short, I accept a nameless, impersonal "GOD". If a name is given then, it is for our convenience. Now on the question of whether this God- Is He a Creator? First is it necessary to refer to HIM as He. Why not SHE? So, for me GOD is genderless. That doesn't mean He(SHE) is a Hermatophrodite or a Eunuch. Again HE/SHE/IT/THAT to refer to God is just for the convenience of language. If there is a Creation that is Eternal, then He is the Creator, if Creation is not taken as Eternal, then He has Created the Universe with all its sentient and insentient beings, in the same sense that I, a finite intelligent being is creating "my world" in a lucid dream or fantasy. The only dissolvable difference that exists between Him and me is that my "creations" do not have "material" existence, and His has a relative material existence. I call it relative because, they exist because I as a sentient being am apprehending the Universe through my senses. Now, I pass through several "lifetimes" i.e. be subject to the dominion of the entity called "TIME" till I keep apprehending the Universe through my senses and take it that that has some reality. When I am able to see beyond this, I cease to exist in this Universe(or other such Universes)where Time is bundled as an entity to reckon, then there is only ONE REALITY that abides.Since "I" ceases to exist then the only meaningful statement that could be made is I AM THAT!!! I likethis concept(what I have mentioned in the last para above): what I have tried my best to put into words, and any defects are due to limitations of language- mine, and language as a means of communication. I like this because if and gotten into truly it frees me from everything including, religions, books, and language itself. P.S. For purposes of expressional clarity however I am willing accept the Dualist position, albeit tentatively. By the Dualist's position I mean: That there is an All-Powerful[OS,OPo,and OPr] Creator God, who is putting me through various experiences with the purposes of "moulding" me back in to His image.

Gender is a parameter of this physical world. In our true nature, gender is meaningless. God has no gender as well. I say He because that is what most people refer God to be. As you can see, to cover all possibilities in writing is a pain. Being impersonal with God is Ok. It does save having to deal with so much. Look around you. Everything complex on multilevels most can not see. The interaction for the good of all should not be side stepped. As far as realizing our spirituality, everyone is like that when they are very very young. Go talk with the very youngest kids. That's why everyone loves kids. They remind us of who we really are.THe longer we are in this physical world. The more we are seduced into believing that that's all there is. This physical world is here only to help aid in the lessons we are to learn. In our true nature, time means nothing. Makes it hard to hold us to a point. I can not ever say God is impersonal simply because I have found Him. When you meditate, He will be there for those who wish discovery. Thanks for all your comments!!!
