I love to eat steak and chicken. Sometimes when I stop and think about it I relize what I am eating is a dead animal. Then I start feeling bad about it and I put my fork down and don't eat anymore. I know it sounds strange. I am around farm animals alot and when I look at a chicken a know I could be eating it I feel bad. I used to eat alot of meat and I only eat meat every once in awhile now. I think about where meat comes from and I can't get it out of my head. I wish I would not think about that way because I do love the taste of meat. I know that chicken or cow died so that I could eat it but I feel so bad about it. Eating meat reminds of eating road kill for some reason and I should not think of it that way because I know it's not road kill.

no I dont feel bad for eating meat
we humans were designed to be omnivores which means it is natural for us to eat meat
I consider those that are vegitarians or vegans to be weird because they are trying to defy nature by not eating meat

i can go with out meat, but you do need it for vitamins. we kill our own meat, not to often, and we don't kill those who were pets. like we will raise calves and lambs that have been mis mothered, and you know who they are cause they will come up to you to say hi.
it's the cycle of life, and how things fit in to place. people have been eating meat for centuries.

No I did not feel bad about eating meat. I been eating meat all of my life and it taste good if seasoned and cook right. I hate the way the animals has to die, but our bodies need protein. Vegetables alone can not full my up I need my meat.

If you feel bad about eating it, then don't do it. Can you really enjoy something you have a guilty conscience about? I don't eat much meat anymore. Of course it is not for the same reasons you have discussed. Ever since I started yoga and exercise my body just doesn't crave it anymore. When I do eat it I feel heavy and bloated and don't digest it well. So, if your taste buds still crave it, but your mind resists it, then I suggest you start yoga and maybe you just won't crave it anymore.

Yeah so I stopped eating meat about 5 years ago. But I'm not that guy who annoys you with vegetarianism or forces it to you. Some of my friends don't even know I'm vegetarian lol

I don't feel bad about eating meat as if I don't someone else will, but I feel bad that the animal was killed in the first place. My point is that if I had the choice to kill animals to eat I wouldn't do it and I'd be a veggie, but seeing as I'm not the person killing them, if I choose not to eat the meat it wont make a difference. Especially as there are 2 other people in my household and we buy meat to share, so if I didn't eat my share they'd just eat more. So I might as well enjoy the taste.

I don't feel particularly bad about it. Humans are omnivores- we eat both meat and plants because we were built to. I don't condemn anybody who decides to eat just plants- if it makes them happy, then good on them- but I don't worry about that myself. If I want meat, I'll eat meat. If I don't, then I won't.

I can live without meat, but if I have meat my life seems more enjoyable. I like steak, roast beef or roast chicken. I listed these meals because I have just had them recently. I don’t feel bad when I eat meat. However I have a friend who lives in Canada. He’s vegetarian and he always calls us to not to eat meat. Every time he read my blogs and told me the world is getting warming because we human being eat too much meat. It made me embarrassed. It seems I made the world hot.

This could actually turn into a very heated topic. I have learned from pass experiences that discussions like this on the internet sometimes ends up as a war. The way I look at it all is that a person should be given the freedom of choosing what food they eat as long as the specie is not endangered. What is good for one person to eat may not be for another.
I grew up on a small farm and the animals that were raised were raised for food. I didn't like having to eat my favorite cow but food is food and we either eat or starve. It seems for some that eating a meal has become an unpleasant event. Perhaps we should think more of the children around the world who have little or nothing to eat at all, maybe that will make us all realize how fragile our lives really are. We either eat or die and while we worry about what is on our fork, there is a child dying somewhere wishing for the food we have on that fork.

I don't know how old you are, but you sound like you are going through exactly what I was going through at about age 13. I always loved meat, but found myself looking at the meat on my fork and making the connection that this was an animal. I started to get a bit grossed out eg. you know when there is a bit of blood in the meat or chicken has a vein or something hanging down! When I ate a chicken leg I saw it as a 'chicken's leg', actually once running round.
It sounds like you will end up as a vegetarian.
I don't understand why you say you wish you didn't think like that, because, why wish for ignorance? Most people put all that stuff out of their minds, but that is denying yourself.
I gave up meat except fish at around age 14, and then 8 years ago I gave up eating fish so now I am totally vegetarian. Although I remember the nice taste, I wouldn't go back because I just see meat as flesh from a carcass and I wouldn't eat it again, any more than I would eat a human body part. (Ewwww!)

I feel bad about it sometimes too. I hate it that an animal had to die for me to be able to eat or feed my family. I hate the fat it contains also. We have to eat though and I crave meat.

Hi tuckersheri,
I love to eat chicken, I can eat chicken as one of the dishes for the whole week. So Am I a chicken lover??
I don't take beef and mutton. Sometimes I will eat pork too,but not everyday, once a while is Ok for me.
I love to cook curry or rendang chicken with potatoes, they are my favourite food.
I never feel bad while I am eating pork or chicken as they are born to be served as a food for people to eat. Just have a positive thinking when come to eat meat.

I sometimes do, but I love steaks and fried chickens. At home we don't usually serve meat without any vegetable sidings, so I do think we're consuming food just right and in well balanced diet. There are days that I usually stick on eating fruits and vegetables alone. Then eat meat once in awhile. I wonder why you think that way about meat and its kinda funny how you imagine it went through. You may watch some programs about livestock and poultry industry to lessen your worries. Happy mylotting!:)

I was a vegitarian for about 5 years when I was a teenager but it wasnt because I felt bad it wasj ust one day I stopped liking meat. I hated meat all that time until I started getting really sick because my body wasnt taking to the vitiamins I was given anymore so I had to learn to eat meat again which is pretty much one of the hardest things I've ever done because while I love it now and the taste and all my body would reject it everytime for the first couple of months. I still dont liek ordering meats with bones though.
