What memory from your childhood stands out the most? What is that one memory you can look bad on and smile about. I have so many its hard to find a place to start.
I suppose my favorite maybe hmmm...I guess when we use to all get together at my grandmothers house every single sunday after church. We kids would all play foot ball and the entire family was there. We would have great home cooked from scratch meals. And my grandfather and uncles would play music. We would sing and talk for hours. It was amazing. It makes me smile now

I am blessed that I had a great childhood; I am sorry that when my father was to the end of his life that I didnt thank him; but I feel somehow, he felt he did the best he could. When I came into the world, three generations occupied my parent's apartment. And I had plenty love and affection. I have so many memories. Let me say first off, that I was born in New York City and lived in apartments the first fifteen years of my life. But as far as I was concerned, we had plenty to eat, drink, we had great get togethers, at that time, we had mucho family around us. So let me give out a memory. Easter Sunday, 1968; I was five and had this little yellow pleated dress. Well, we would go places and just dance and I loved to dance. One time, I got so involved, I pulled up my dress and shook my booty so my aunt just fell out laughing. She passed away two years ago six weeks before my daddy. Great memory. I like to feel I had a great childhood cause right now, I have some challenges. thanks for that BStuff.

I have so many memorable childhood experiences too. That's why I like my childhood. The most that I remember was the time we make our own wagon. This is made of woods and plywoods. This is not only fun to do but the essence of camarederie is there. Even our dirty sweat is running down our face, it doesn't matter. We get out of the house clean, we go home dirty and with 2 holes at the buttock's part of the pant.
In this wagon, there are about 6 people to ride packed together just like the one seen in a circus. We start from a higher part of the road/hill going down with full speed. By the time we reached down everybody is thrilled. Some may fall down on the way. They get our boooooooss. It's really fun. . .

I suppose it would have to be going to the beach with my family. The searing sun, the hot sand, splashing about in the sea, eating sandwiches with sand in them, my father listening to football matches on the transistor radio, my mother teaching us those first swimming strokes; the sunburn; cream being rubbed on my neck; father's delight if his team won; my mother's dedication to the written word with another book to be read as she soaked up the evening sun in her bikini. And then we would go home - all happy and carefree.

i have a memorable and great childhood too, when i was a child,my family lived together with my grandparents and my uncle's family, it was a big family living in the house, i have 5 brothers&sisters and i'm the fifth younger kid of them,we often played games at home together as that time.
my favorite memory is on Eve of Chinese New year,my uncle always gave lucky money to all of us, then,we used the lucky money to buy fireworks, i am the most timid one, instead of setting off fireworks by myself,i prefered to stand beside my brother to see he did so,it was very interesting.

I do remember that I used to play different sports when I was young. When I was in third grade, I have this teacher who I was very afraid of. She was so good in volleyball that she started training our class to became players for our interschool tournament. But then she chose only a few and I happen to be one of them. I was so afraid of her that whenever she throws the ball on me, I kept on covering my head. There was one time that she shouted on me, "Why are you covering your head?! The ball is suppose to be afraid of you, not you getting afraid of the ball!" That's when I started to learn playing volleyball, and also beginning to understand that she is not that bad as what I thought. And in high school I was lucky enough to play several times. I would not forget that teacher of mine.

I used to love going to my Nans house, everyone gathered in there, and she would make us toast, on a big fork, over an open fire...or egg and chips!! LOL
I used to love my nans toast, or egg and chips, and listen to her stories from times gone by.
She was very family orientated, and i just loved going to her house :-)

I have many, many happy memories of when my five sons were young, and of almost 50 years of a very happy marriage. However, I cannot remember even ONE happy memory from my childhood. I suffered abuse of all four types and mental/emotional abuse until I was 22 years of age. My life changed dramatically then, and in more ways than one, my life BEGAN then.

I would have to say that one of the best memories from my childhood was visiting my auntie and she would make my cousin and I fritters with sugar which was a simple mixture of flour and water deep fried and eaten with sugar sprinkled on top. Believe it or not I used to love them because my mother hardy ever made them. I remember the smell as they were cooking and my auntie’s jokes and loud laughter.

My favorite childhood memory is of my mother buying me a doll. It was not a branded toy like Barbie. I guess it was made in Hong-kong those days. I love it and will play with it all day. Nowadays, children are very lucky to get the real Barbie.

i remeber when i was young my favourite times of the week was when my mom took me to the library. i was a real book worm back then but sadly my parents didn't want me reading novels so much because they thought it was better to spend my time doing math and other school related things.

There are lots of nice memories, but for example, I can remember my dad building a bonfire on fireworks night and we sat by it at night and he was pointing out the constellations of stars in the sky.

My favorite has to be sitting out on a dark summer night and watching the firefires thinking that they were stars that came down out of the sky for my personal entertainment.
