Public Option or No Public Option? Is that the question?

There seems to be a great debate taking place over health care reform, but it seems as if the greatest level of mud-sligging is in reference to the public option. Why does it seem to be so much controversy over this single issue and can't the public option be design to where it would do more good than harm?

I haven't really kept up with this issue but I seen where people were protesting on this matter. I first seen this when I was on the web the other day and then watched what the president had to say about it. The health care reform sounds good but I think a lot a people wants to know who's paying for all of this. Is it going to come out of the tax payers pocket or what? I agree with you, something should be set up to where the public can voice their opinion.

Yeah, the parts of the home town meetings that are being shown on the news is the ones of hate and anger not the parts where people are well spoken and debating the issue like adults and maybe even smart people with opinions that should be heard . The media is making public opinion a joke because thats what sells and because it makes it look like were so dumb we shouldnt be the ones making the choice. But I think a lot of us know better I honestly think if I sat down with people of opposed the united healthcare plan we could have calm and productive conversation without name spating and mud slinging. I wish the government would realize this too.
