If the goverment put a end to the making of coffee I would be upset. I drink coffee when I need alittle get up and go. It helps me stay awake. I know coffee in general is not good for you and it stains your teeth. Staining your teeth is a major downfall to coffee. I need my coffee sometimes and it would not go over with me to well if the stopped making coffee. There would be alot of angry people out there I am sure of it. Especially the older people who drank coffee almost their whole life.

I would be very upset. I doubt the United States could get away with banning coffee. There would be riots in the street. Would espresso drinks be banned too? I think there would be a lot of people out of work, i.e. everyone that works at any coffee shop, coffee growers, transporters, much of Columbia, etc. I

Upset? Homicidal maniac would be more descriptive. come and get me government, you won't last the night.
Seriously though, I cannot believe anything like this would ever be thought of, please tell me you were just trying to get responses to a discussion lol.

Hi tuckersheri,
If they took away Coffee from the Supermarkets and Shop Shelves there would practically be a war in Spain. They drink Coffee by the gallon sometimes. All kinds of ways of making Coffee set off a whole string of Coffee and Cake Shops that have not gone out business and show no signs of it. Coffee and Cakes for Breakfast in Spain this is a must. Even though the price of Coffee keeps going up People will still buy it. Coffee brands that sell here are mainly Nescafe the other brands donĀ“t do as well as that one. Also the Coffee Beans are still sold and People still make their own Coffee the traditional way. So I reckon this would be the last straw for Spanish People Coffee is one of their mainstays in life. Social life revolves around Coffee. Tea hardly gets a mention.

Why would the government put an end to making coffee? Did you hear something? I hope not, I also enjoy coffee. As long as you have no more than 2 cups a day, I don't think there is a real health issue. Coffee does get me going in the morning, but I find later in the day especially if the weather is warm I get lethargic after a cup, so I tend to drink my java during breakfast. Also I think that's one more important point.....have your coffee with some food. This will help avoid stomach problems.

I don't drink coffee, so it wouldn't really matter to me. That being said, the only way that my boss can survive is by drinking large quantities of coffee daily. So, I think I would be upset only because he would be miserable (therefore I would be miserable).

I am not sure if I would like that or not. I do drink coffee but it is not one of those things that I really have to have every day of my life. I would miss it though because I do drink it occasionally.

Yeah, that would be pretty sad. i need my coffee to wake up in the morning and If I didnt have it I would be pretty sad indeed. I think it is a good way to start the day and to wake you up in the morning. It is nice and is a good tasting beverage.

Upset doesn't even begin to describe how I would be if they banned coffee!!
It would be awful!! I have not found coffee to be harmful when it is drank in moderation. I do need my coffee daily.. but really I drink it to keep those around me safe too! ![](/Content/images/emotes/cry.gif)

I would feel sorry if the government prohibited people from making coffee. But it doesn't matter. Except for coffee I could also choose tea. Actually I drink tea more often than coffee. I guess those tea manufacturers may feel happy about the prohibition for they could get more market shares. To consumers including you and me, both tea and coffee are indispensable in our lives.
