My Oath

United States
September 19, 2009 10:38pm CST
I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the regulations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. I took that oath over 20 years ago. It means as much to me today as it did then. Unfortunately, I believe that this current admistration does NOT have the best interest of the Constitution, this country, or its people in its heart. This admistration seams to be less of a friend to the Constitution, freedoms, republican ideals, and God centered beliefs that the founding fathers did. Instead it seems to be the lap dog for forced socialism (health care), fascism (bank - auto bailouts), and a Godless society (abortion). My enlistment my be over, but my oath still stands.
