At Last I Watch Water Margin Film Series, Novel that Inspired Suikoden Games

Yesterday, At Last I Finished wathing the 43th episode of Water Margin Series. The Film Series is based on Shuihu Zhuàn Novel ( Water Margin ) which also known as Outlaw Of The Marsh
This Movie thought inspired the Suikoden Games, but the story itself is far from the same.
The few thing that this series and suikoden have in common is The 108 Heroes. Thought The Toran Lake ( HQ For Suikoden 1 ) is based on The Lianshang Marsh ( The HQ Of The 108 Heroes from the Novel ).
The story of the series happen at China, in Northen Song Dynasty. At that time, the Court is full with many Corrupt Official, One Of Them Is Marshall Gao.
Marshall Gao and His Gang Frame Many Honest And Loyal officer so he can control The Court.
At Last, Many Of Those who was framed and Who Dont like the corrupt official Join Force With Song Jiang with a purpose to upholding justice, and hopping some day, the Emperor will realise that they are honest and loyal officer, and then they can get enlist again by the court.
What make the series great is Almost All 108 Character have their own story, and u can c they personality develop. And How 1 Character Connect to each other is good too.
No Wonder Suikoden Could be a success Game, it all because of this Novel.
Well, actually many more can be told from this series, but i think for now, it is enough.

Did water margin novel tell story that really are the same with suikoden series?
Also is the leader actually a little kid?:p..Did 27 true rune exist there?and can you tell is more about it friends?

Well the novel actually only inspire suikoden. There is actually only small part that the game really copy, like lianshang marsh really are resemblance of the Toran Castle. Also the 27 true rune doesn't really exist in this game. And yes friend nice to meet you, i too hope we will have a great discussion.

O sorry, i kinda have too much spirit to reply that i miss that question. Well the leader in Water Margin is actually an old man, he is i think the most oldest man in the group ( well he have senior, but the senior is not including in 108 heroes ). And yes the novel really are loosely based, and the story is far from the same. Are you enjoying suikoden games too? Thanks for replying.

I assume the Suikoden I is the only one based on the story(CMIIW).
and emmm..sorry my friend, you not yet answer my first quiestion about did the leader is also a kid(or maybe a young man) Like most suikoden games, well excluding geddoe and chris off course.:D:D

I played Suikoden 1 and 2, but nothing more coz I don't have PS-2 for the next parts.

Suikode 1 and 2 is a great game in Playstation 1. I watch water margin series in a site called indowebster. But the site ( i think ) only accesible from indonesia. If you play suikoden 1 then you will know that many aspect in suikoden 1, is try to follow water margin novel.

I am never playing suikoden games, but I playing some historic chinese games like romance of the three kingdoms, dynasty warrior, and sango2. when I see your review about the films, and you said that the games have a few simillar with the film, I will try to play suikoden now, because it seem interesting.

Yes, suikoden is an interesting game with magnificant plot. If you want to play the best one, i suggest you to play Suikoden 5 in Playstation 2, or Suikodem 2 On Playstation 1. But if you want to understand the suikoden universe completely, then you must play all of them, thought each series only have litle connection with each other.
