yes, i agree with you. 2-3 years is a long way, i've seen some love married couples ending their relationship just after one month of marriage.

I believe that people no longer feel obligated to keep their wedding vows. 50 years ago people tried to work through their problems, no matter how hard it was. Now, as soon as people figure out that marriage is hard work, they leave, We are an instant gratification society in many ways, and when something stops being fun, we move on. Then they blame it all on the other person, and try to find someone else who will be fun forever. Of course, there is no such thing as marriage without effort, so they are destined to be unhappy unless they learn.

I think its mosly because of loss of interest in your partner or also friction in the relationship due to incompatibility in many aspects of life. Generally couples start arguing on very small reasons and this builds that friction which over a period of time leads to the breakup. Compatibility, maturity, understanding and trust are the most important in relationships. Without any of these no relation can be successfull and will definately not last.
