how often do you use your signal lights on your vehicle?

I use my signal lights when needed. It helps other drivers know where I am headed, thus keeping my drive safe. But the man that you've seen... he's just impossible! :)

ALWAYS!!! that is so important and to avoid such accidents its better to be more aware of the right usage of our signal lights. i am so careful and always make to a point that i am using the right signals for wherever i may go. for other vehicles and drivers to be aware of my destinations and to avoid all those vehicular accidents which has been happening everyday in our lives. i do hope that some drivers would be just like us. careful, cautious and ont he right track as always. jhelai

I use my signal lights when I am going to turn or change lanes. I have had some vehicle in front of me that used a signal to turn one way and either turn the oppisite way or just did not turn at all. It is very irriating not to mention dangerous when people use the wrong signal light. I will usually just stay back and hope they will finally make up their mind where they are going to turn or just turn myself and tried to get in front of them.

All the time that I need to. We must follow the traffic rules. When turning, signals are important. Many do not know how to use the hazard light signals. They often used it for no apparent reason. We should only used them if our car is stalled or in an emergency or i n heavy rain to warn others we are own the road and dangers lurk ahead.

I do use the signals quite a lot and having been in an accident wit someone who was using them wrongly I make a point to do it properly. When I had just started driving a few years back, I was going on a rather steady speed and I took a turn which got me on the highway. Next thing I see, is a man ahead of me with his signal blinking right, so I tried to move ahead from his left and he rams his car into mine. Later I was told that the guy had his indicator on for a long while and was unaware about it. I was not injured but I have been using the signals properly from that day.

I almost always use them and I always use them correctly when I do use them. The drivers I get irritated with are the ones that fail to turn them off after a turn (when the vehicle doesn't do it itself). They go driving down the road and you never know if they are going to turn or not! Because of this, I will end up sitting at stop sign and not going even though they have a turn signal on that says they are turning onto my street and it SHOULD be safe to proceed. But, at least 10% of the time, they are NOT going to turn and I would get T-boned if I went.

I do, yes sir, but I am a lawabiding German LOL. BUT I live in Mexcooc, and down here it's a completely different ball game.Some people use them sometimes, some use them never, some use them right, others can´t distinguis between right and left, it´s like a carnival. So you obviously never trust those indicators, you just go by your guts and keep your eyes wide open. It's like the genral rules and regulations ythat govern driving here. Mostly they are felt to mean recommendations, why shoulnd't I cross a traffic light when red when absolutely nobody is coming, Inshala. I congratulate you for having kept your wits, and for driving carefully. You might have gottem hurt, might'n you? And maybe that other driver has learned something, let's hope.

I use them nearly all the time. Yes, I use them properly and make sure that after I do what I have signaled that I turn them off. (I get frustrated and angry at people that drive down the road with their signals going constantly...especially if they are going slow and you want to pass. You can't be sure if it is safe to pass or not.) Our neighbor seldom uses them and if he does he leaves it blinking for miles and miles. The other thing that really annoys me is the people that drive around with only their high beams on. They drive up behind me and the lights reflecting in my rear view mirror blinds me!

hi jane. i never thought you are driving now? but you know, i use my signal lights whenever necessary or whenever i remember i have to use it. well, that's one thing i hate about driving, when someone you are following, suddenly turns his signal lights and never turns his car. that would cause some accidents, when he signals left and actually turning right. dammmmmmmmmmm

almost always unless im in an area i dont know well and realize at last minute that i need to turn then i might not signal but if i know where i am and know im going to turn i will.. usually i signal earlier than most people jut because i really want every one to know what im doing

Hello Jane, Signal lights should always be used properly that is why it is called "signal light"..it means,we are giving signal to other vehicle where we are heading to,(right or left)to avoid accidents.There is also the right timing when/how far the distance we should on the signal light,and not just doing it on the very spot. I haven't experienced or encountered such situation,but here in Metro,driving really needs a 101% attention,as there are lot's of reckless drivers here especially during rush hour and wee hours. It drives me insane when people dont use their signals. Here in Florida for some reason everyone things it seems to be optional If I'm at a light with 5 people only me and maybe 1 other person is signaling. I signals for everything though. I signal before parking most of the time. I signal changing lanes. I can't stand when people change lanes without signaling its just so stupid. I signal before turning. I signal all the time lol

I drive my bike fast but I always do use my signal lights and at the right time and slow down before making a turn. It's a part of defensive driving but in your driver's case, that's really annoying, I guess that's some sort of a way to look for some trouble.
