Hello, mylotter.
When you wake up early in the morning and have to take a bath right away, can you tolerate the natural coldness that coming out in your faucet or shower? Or water temperature is not a problem because you do have a water heater? Before when we often stay in the farm taking a bath is always our problem in the morning, me and my mom always argue in terms of taking a bath so early.(kids don't like it)and sometimes,I admit, until now I don't like doing it so early like old fellows usually do. I usually chill when I do that. How about you? Love to hear your funny experience.

we don't have a water heater in our house, so whenever I have to take a bath early in the morning and it's really cold, I usually try to move a lot while under the shower, and sometimes I jump... I think it makes the feeling of coldness go away. hehehe.. anyway, usually it's only the first few minutes that feels like hell, and then after that it would feel normal again.

Hi,there!
Let me guess... when the water start to touch your skin you take a deep breath and wanted to scream due to its cold temperature. You're in Laguna, pretty sure the water is so cold and your morning bath is always a torture.

At home, since we don't have the luxury of a water heater, we take a bath with the temperature of the water that comes from the faucet so, if its in the morning, we would be expecting it to be quite cold.
My sister would have to boil some hot water so that she can take a bath in the morning. In my case, when I was going through college, if I have enough time, I would also boil water but, if I know that doing that would get me late for class, I'd just go with the water coming out of the faucet and just shiver.

Hahaha! I could remember before when my brother would usually shout so loud when he takes a bath with no hot water. He'd do that a couple of times until he's already use to the temperature . Somehow, letting someone use the bathroom first before taking a bath lessens the cold feeling, or that's just me?
Then, I would have to take a air conditioned bus to school. Shivering more and one might even catch a cold (^_^")
Cold water certainly jolts our senses.

If it was very hot and I needed a shower I'd consider it perhaps. But honestly it wouldn't be cold cold that would be too much. Just luke warm or a tiny bit cooler would do just fine. However, like right now where it's below freezing and some of the upcomming nights aren't going to be much higher than 0 degrees F. I wouldn't dream of cold water!

pretty much depends on the weather. During summer i often hit the shower cause my thinking and emotions are affected, i easily get irritated and often commits wrong decisions. If i were to be put in 3 seasons maybe i won't survive since i am accustomed to tropical place.

One thing that I lie most is cold water. I really love it shower even when the water is cold. When I take a shower in the morning, I usually use cold water instead of the using hot. However, in the evening before I go to bed, I use hot water. It really feels nice and warm and I can feel my vessels expands which really relaxes my body.

hello, jp. Warm bath before bed time is healthy. A warm bath taken about 4 or 5 hours before bedtime will raise that temperature. Then, as it begins to fall, you'll feel more tired, which will make it easier to fall asleep.

I don't like to take early shower during the morning time. Because sometimes if my mom or my dad take the shower, the water heater might not provide enough hot water for all of us, I might get the cold water mostly. I just can't stand to bathe in cold water during the cold winter time. So, on winter time, I usually take shower at night time rather than on the morning.

I think that's one thing that makes me different from most of the others. I love to take a shower with cold water in the morning. I can tolerate the cold and I really love the coolness. For me its very refreshing. Usually, my routine is cold shower in the morning and warm shower before I sleep.

Few people responded that they love cold shower in the morning. Can you still tolerate the coldness even if it's early dawn? Gee! that's almost a freezing point for me. Warm bath in the evening relaxes our body and also a therapeutic.

Hi, frankie!
What if you have an important things to do and you have to leave the house so early? In my case, since we don't have a water heater I sweat my self first, do some stretching, a little exercise to regulate my blood and feel warm afterward. So, cold water is tolerable.

It usually depends on the season. In the summertime, I don't mind the water temperature in the morning, but during the rainy season, like it is right now, I cannot stand the cold water, so I use the shower in my parent's bathroom because they have a heater. I remember going to camp in the mountains when I was in high school, and of course, the water is ice cold in the morning (even in the summer), so we have to endure the cold water. I would just grit my teeth and try to get it done in as short a time as possible.

Hi simonelee! I always love taking a shower in the morning. Unlike you, i love it when the water is cold. Here in the Philippines, we don't really have cold water so water heater is not necessary to use unlike the people in the US. Yes i can tolerate the cold..And i love taking a bath in the early morning.

Hi, there! I guess it matter on the place where you residing. When you are within the Metro the water is warmer compared to the other cities. The supply of water in Manila is quite warm and the odor is poor, not as fresh as in the province. I still don't like early morning bath.

Hi, sapnamurthy!
Yes, you are so right. Taking a bath early morning is horrible. It's like you've been tortured. Yeah, at first it will be hard but sometimes... its intolerable. I rarely like cold bath. But, if I'm in another city I prefer to have cold bath because some cities are humid.

Well I am living in a tropical country so, it’s not a problem for me if I am taking a bath early in the morning with cold water because I am used to doing so, having a heater is far expensive to install here although we have one in the house but some can’t afford on such so they normally get used to taking a bath without the heater on. In addition, it’s also a way of saving your electric bills because you are using normal water rather than heated water.

So you reside in Baguio, you're accustomed to cold weather. When you're out in your comfort zone then you probably miss the weather, pretty sure bathroom is your best friend. How's the weather down there? Freezing like ice?

...and you can stay long and do the "ritual" thing. I can't tolerate cold water touching my body so i make some ways to enjoy my bath, like shampooing my hair first then wrap it with towel before pouring some water in my body. In that way it lessen the torture.

I like cold water even if I have to get into shower in the early morning. Cold water makes me alive and ready to face my day. Unless I was having a cold. I will try to do jumping for 5 minutes to fight against the cold air, so I won't be chilling when the water caressing my skin. Initially, you'll be moaning and goose bump all over your skin, but soon you'll find that nothing compare to this heavenly fresh feeling.
Please try it, believe me, it won't hurt :)

For me while bathing i cant tolerate cold water..oh that also in the early morning..I usually bath at the morning with hot water..but sometime at the summer time cold is preferable for me..but not at the winter..at winter the environment will be so cold compared to the summer..So it depends on the weather condition too..

well, yes. it depends on the environment. Before when I visited other city taking a bath early in the morning is not an issue because the water coming out from the shower is tolerable, i mean i feel like I'm taking a bath with water heater on. Actually the city is polluted and I think it has an impact in changing the water temperature.

Hi, Fulltank. 4am is too early for work. What is your job? are you a call center agent? What if your water heater malfunction one day and you are already in the bathroom? can you tolerate the coldness of water? For me, i have to do a quick bath without shampooing my hair.Kidding! I hate cold bath so much. Thanks for your time.
