Hi friend,
you are looking for an antivirus that never deceives. By hearing that it appears that you are new to the world of computers and viruses. Even paid antivirus can not surely says that they are never deceived by a virus. friend, this is age of computer and rapidly increasing viruses. No anti is perfect. If you are looking for a perfect solution opt for a LINUX distro. A virus can not interact with this operating system. If you cannt, never thought that.
AVG , avast provides better free antivirus solutions. I would recommend you avast, I am utilizing it from last year never got a problem.

Thank you for your suggestions. What I really know that I should not visit illegal sites and should update the virus database in regular basis. Anyways I agree with your views. I also wanted to know that did your antivirus ever deceived you irrespective of that you have updated and never visited those sites?

I appreciate your response again. As you are studying on the subject, you definitely know a lot about them. I think virus programmers are smarter than the antivirus programmers. I used the word 'deceive', because after trusting and updating database, if it fails then it is so scarry to have an antivirus in the system, because these are so system resource hungry. As you have told, finding the malicious activities from the task manager and trying to get away of it by googling is a great way.

Yes bitdefender is also good. Each antivirus has his own virus definations. If an antivirus has no defination of a virus, then the antivirus will not detect it as a virus. So no antivirus has all virus definations. So each antivirus cannot detect some viruses. While other detect it as a virus. It is normal. Each antivirus has his own defination and securities. If user is not intelligent then no antivirus can help him. I recomend u to turn on showing hidden and system files, so that u can easily find a virus if ur antivirus doesnt detect it.

If you mean to install both in the system, is it really foolproof, as when I installed AVG it warned me about any anitivirus installed is to be removed from the system to work it perfectly. Would it be wise to install Bitdefender with AVG. Wont it tire the system out more without any extra security?

Yes it is true that there is not perfect solution for viruses. Buying a new antivirus is wastage of money, according to me. But avg is best one, i think. I too using avg from 3 years, and never had any problem. I never afraid of a virus. Because i have a backup of all my data. I never reinstall my windows due to virus. So my vote is for avg.

in my opinion avast home edition is really good, i have 4 pcs and i have avast installed on 3 of them, the other one has a paid version of panda. avast is free, you just have to request for a free key that they send to your e-mail, and the best of it is that avast can make a scan on the windows boot, which is even more effective that on safe mode on when windows is running, this is an antivirus that i highly recomend

Thank you for your opinion. Actually you have a good option to check different antiviruses as you have multiple systems. As I have only one system, I have to uninstall one and install another antivirus and I can not take the luxury of installing 2 antivirus at a time because, they take lot of system resources. However, have you ever trusted your antivirus fully and after that you were attacked by the viruses in any of your systems?
