Getting in the mood

I suppose I'm writing this because I have such a wide range of film genres that I like. But what I find is that some days I'll go for one genre, others another. I've realised that this is completely dependent on my mental state at the time. So, I've devised a few steps to control my mood and dictate what film I want to watch, as opposed to my mood deciding for me. Relaxation and comfort: if I want to watch a relaxing, soothing movie, or something vomitable like a romcom, then I'll soothe myself with a bath, trawl the internet for gossip in the entertainment sections, and maybe listen to some love songs. Building up that pressure: if I fancy watching a war film, or something violent, then I'll usually keep moving quickly around the house, do a load of odd jobs, and maybe some fast and loud music. Knackered, absolutely knackered: if I just want one of those films you don't have to pay attention to, then I usually don't have to do anything. Occasionally, I do two jobs in one day, and this leaves me knackered. If this is the case, then a beer, slouching on the sofa, without changing after I come in, is all I need for this. Sure, there are other moods for other films, but this is the basic run down, and surprise surprise it works. I find I can control myself to be in the mood for whatever film, and this is especially handy when my wife is choosing the film, and says, lets watch this tonight, as I'm on my way out of the door in the morning. Gives me the whole day to prepare. Random, aren't I!!!

Before watching a movie, i usually read the sinopsys and ask about from friend, did the movie good or not? If i like the sinopsys and my friend reccomended it, usually i need not searching for a mood. And off course, if your friend asking you to watch the movie with him / her, and they treat you generously, the mood will come automatically :p
