I am not that good in English. I am still trying learn more of it here in myLot. I can practice here because it only allows English. I must say that I prefer to write in English rather than oral. I get neverous when I am trying to speak English. I don't want people to laugh at me when I get some mistakes.

I am also not really good in English but i think that i have the basic skill to communicate in English.I agree with you that mylot is a website for me to practice my writing skill as well.I have some advice to you, when you are trying to speak in English, the first thing you need is confident. After some time you will get used to it and can speak fluently. If you are good in writing then the oral will not be a big problem to you as well.

Well thanks for your advice. I am confident sometimes when I speak English specially when I am at school and our subject is English. But since I am from the Philippines (Tagalog - national language and English - secondary language) I am not able to speak English with my classmate because they might laugh at me when I get some mistakes. Just a trivia, Philippines is the 3rd largest English speaking country.

Thanks for responding.Even I am not fluent in English but somehow i manage. As the time moves on, everything will be alright. Dont bother about your mistakes. It happens when we try to speak other language for the first time. Just go ahead.

I think my English is ok. It is neither poor nor very good. But nothing to beat my husband and children's English knowledge as they are voracious readers and my daughter has taken English literature in College. Their vocabulary is a repository.

kudos to your husband and daughter for their English knowledge and to you for marrying such an intelligent person and giving birth to such an extra ordinary daughter

Through about fifteen year's learning, I still could not say that I'm good at English. When I was a student, the way of learning English in school was doing written exercises. The aim was to pass examination, not to use English. My English improved a lot during the time I studied for master degree for the teaching medium was purely English. Nowadays I could communicate with others without big obstacles, but still need to improve my English level in professional field.

Yes. That is true. On practice only one can achieve the goal. All the best.
