Does it scare you to have a gun in the house?

I have a child and yes it scares me to have a gun in the house. I know you are suppose to have a gun registered and locked up but to me anything can happen. What if you left the keys out and you child unlocked it and misused the gun. That would be a disaster waiting to happen. What if you left the gun out and one of your child friends got a hold of it. If someone broke into your house and you got your gun and they grabbed it and shot you. I know people use a gun as a form of protection. I know it's not safe to have a gun in the house no matter what the situation. Their are too many possibilities that could happen. Most of what could happen is for the worst in my eyes.
