myLot Hiatus

By the way, to start off, I read the word "hiatus" from one of the discussions here in myLot and I had to look up the meaning of the word. According to the Merriam webster dictionary it means "lapse in continuity." I did not post a discussion in myLot for months but I do login though once in a while to prevent my earnings from being zeroed out. I started posting again once in a while to get a few earnings. Any of you who was on hiatus from myLot before? Why or why not?

The first time that I went hiatus here on this site was when I had just started. I wasn't really into earning online due to being skeptical about the whole idea. I was also busy with other things at school as well so I was a bit occupied. After a year of not being active, I finally had free time and then began to get interested with this site. Eventually earned my first and continued on until I was able to buy something online for the first time (^_^ ) Now-a-days, I am yet again busy with something else which is work. I do try to open myLot at work, post on a few replies every now and then. I wish I could be as active as before though..

yes, it was 2 months ago.that was when i wasn't able to have my payout for the month.at the back of my mind i was thinking of what's the use of staying when i wasn't able to get through the month's cut off. i was just sad that i wasn't able to make it in the cut off. i regretted what i did.

Hi there Yuna, I too am guilty of that "hiatus" thingy and its for various reasons. Most of the time there are much pressing things that I have to address, the feeling that I cannot contribute here effectively or from time to time a hardware problem. None of these reasons are really important, what matters most is that we're still here. But for me, I would say I miss mylot during the times that I am away.

I've never taken an official hiatus. There've been times where my participation has dropped greatly, but I've never taken a full hiatus. It wasn't too long ago I began thinking that coming here everyday and dealing with all the negative comments, rudeness, and flat out stupidity from some people just wasn't worth the money I earn for it, so I decided to take a little break. I didn't turn off my notifications though, so I would still respond to my friends discussions if it really interested me. I find that if I spend too much time here I just end up feeling overly upset at other people for their closed minded thinking and their assumption that their WRONG opinions are more TRUTH than opinion.

I was a hiatus from not responding on myLot, if that makes any sense. Ever since my summer break ended, I have been piled with homework and tests. I always try to put my schoolwork before anything and that is why I haven't been on myLot for a while. I should be able to post some more during winter and spring breaks.

I also have to put sports and other activities before anything I do online but hopefully I will be able to post on myLot more during the weekends if I do not go out with friends or if I'm not feeling well.

Good to see you again. I rarely miss a day of myLotting even if I'm out of town. Was visiting our daughter who lives out of state last month and managed to visit myLot each day. Such a variety of discussions that I don't always know where to begin. Would have to say myLot is one of my favorite sites but don't spend as much time here as I would like to daily therefore my earnings suffer.

I did have a long period without much posting on myLot when I was very active on another site, where I needed less posting to earn the same amount of money. I never let go completely of myLot, because it is a honest, good paying site. Now that ciao!.com has stopped paying, I'm back on myLot and I hope I'll be pretty active from now on, as I found a site where I can use PayPal to buy some very useful geological tools, so I want to load that PayPal account of mine

Exactly I have tried other PTP sites and nothing beats myLot. Other PTP sites are too strict about posting. Here you post about anything under the sun as long as you follow their simple rules!

I was away for about 6 months at one time. I tried to login here often also. I came back and try to be active here daily now though. I like to watch my earnings grow daily too.

I was on "hiatus" for a few months with health and computer problems. I am still not on often each day or week just because of other things in my life. But according to the meaning I was definitely on hiatus that one time since I really couldn't get on and respond as I would like to.

I go on Hiatus just because I burn out and cannot think of anything to say. This is happening more and more now, i may even take a month off.

Yeah same thing for me. If I can't think of anything to say I just stay away and let my mind rest.

According to dictionary the meaning of 'hiatus': breach, opening, pause, break, gap. In your case pause, break and gap applied. However after an interval you again have come to us. That's our satisfaction. Thanks.

I do login though once in a while to prevent my earnings from being zeroed out ?Really? If leaving for long, our payments will be zeroed out? I was on hiatus before because I found myself that was bored with posting anything here. But later,I found it was my wrong.I haven't any strategy here to accomplish one of my full-time jobs here.My goal is always vacillated and I had some slight anxieties with my mind Now I am still in recovering

Yep I read a discussion about it because he didn't login for at least 7 months. I think that's fair enough because myLot may have thought that you're not interested anymore.

I was in a hiatus when i was quite new here... i signed up... posted and responded to some discussion then did not log in for 3 - 4 months... then after that... i was active mor 2 years... and even if i don't respond to any discussions... i still make it a point to visit the site for a few minutes... just to read interesting discussions...

I may go on a mylot Hiatus in a couple of days. I am planning to change my job and in between I would like to take a few days rest. So will not be able to come online for this time. Not too sure if I will have access to the net in my new job as at present I log in only from my office. So may go on a hiatus for a few weeks very soon.

I always plan a short hiatus from MyLot during the school holidays so that I can entertain my seven year old but I always manage to log on and get at least a couple of posts in. Is there such a thing as MyLot addiction? My little daughter has already told me that she can’t wait to turn 13 so she can join this site; that’s six years from now...I wonder if MyLot will still be here? My intuition tells me that it will and so will I probably!

Hi Yuna, I usually use hiatus when I am taking several months away from somewhere, which would mean I had joined then vanished from here if I were to use the world with mylot lol! I haven't taken months away from mylot yet, but I have gone for about 3 days in a row so far, simply because I wasn't inspired enough to come here, or needed time to recharge since I do tend to come here for hours on end when I am inspired which can be oddly mentally draining somehow . So I haven't yet been on a full hiatus, but I have been on mini-hiatus lol! I n definitely imagine having a full hiatus in the future, though it will either be because I am suddenly very busy, or because I am too stressed/depressed to come here! All the best and welcome back Dranz
