Hi adhyz,
Liverpool really got their nervous in this game. They can not control the game well. The loss of Alonso still effect Liverpool performance. Lucas is totally not a good replacement and I don't know why he got his place in the first eleven. His ball control and passes is totally out. He also always commit a foul in the dangerous area.
But Liverpool deserve this win. They play with their mind and heart. Even the penalty in not actually a penalty. Carrigher use his body advantage in the body contact and that should not a foul. Even the player who took the penalty already touch the ball (he slip) before he really kick the ball.

hai akuler, i think you must be liverpool fans. i think xabi is not essential part in liverpool although alonso is a great player.it need time to adapt liverpool without xabi. lucas is good but he is not xabi because he is lucas. i think the ideal substitute for xabi is mascherano. but i confuse why he is never played by benitez

You are right. I support Liverpool since mid 80s. They are a great club with a great history.
Last year Liverpool always play with 2 defensive midfielder (Alonso and Maschrano). And this is good because they can cover in midfield especially when Liverpool are on the attacking side. This also put less pressure to the defender and goalkeeper. As the result Liverpool are the team will less goals conceded.
But since Alonso left and Lucas play, other teams easily penetrate Liverpool area and more goals are conceded. Their defense are not a tough as before. I hope Alberto Aquilani can play as good as Alonso after he get ride his injuries.
Mascherano didn't play much these days because he is injured. He is injured when the season started and injured again after representing Argentina in World Cup qualifying game. Benayoun, replacement for Mascherano, take this change by playing well. Mascherano will miss again for Champion League game against Florentina because on injury during training. But I hope he will be fine for Chelsea game. This is important game because win will take them to the second place (better goal difference) and keep the pressure on Man United.

Liverpool's dramatic win over West Ham has raised some kind of hopes that Liverpool may still be in contention to win this year's EPL.
It is also good to see Torres and Kuyt coming back to form by scoring goals. Even gerrard also had shown signs of his greatness.
Probably they should continue with their present form as the defence looked a bit lacklustre specially Caragher.
