Hey guys, I have just recently received about 2 notifications of 2 responses to a discussion I posted recently and when I went to check it out there wasn't any responses posted to my discussion? How can mylot send me a notifcation for something that isn't there? Did they remove it because it was not appropriate or that it defied some mylot rule? Is it a bug or something? This is the first time I've experienced something like this. Have you had any similar experience here in mylot?

It happened to me recently and I have posted a discussion of similar subject as I was surprise that I can see the rest of the discussions in my notification. I was wondering where 4 of my responses gone to. Someone noticed that the same discussion was posted twice then I realized that the responses were split to the two posts. It might happen to you too. Just check that out.

The notification would be sent to you as soon as someone posts their response. If it turns out that a guideline has been broken (such as the member included referral links in their response, etc.), then myLot would subsequently delete those. By the time you might get around to checking, they could already have been removed. This is normal moderation practice so you should not be worried. I hope you'll get some good discussion responses that don't violate guidelines so you'll have something to comment back to! :)

Yeah I'm afraid so, but I never saw any link from the email notifications. That's why I thought it was really weird. I didn't even post a link in the discussion. You starting such a discussion was a way to find out what other people think and experience. I know in some way mylot protects it's members from most jumpy online earning stuff because they are really ruthless out there. It is after all in the good interest of mylot members. I was think what if there was really that online thing that could have helped a few of our friends somewhere in the discussions and responses and it was all gone. Oh well. Thanks for the response. I appreciate it.

I like your post, wolveren. It addresses really a wider question, that of computers and the Internet per se, I feel. Other respondents to your post already pointed out that they might have been removed because they broke some guidelines. But more importantly, I believe, is that it might just have been a glitch, myLot software sending you by mistake a notification. It just happens, and not only at myLot. But somehow we all (and that includes me, obviously) see this whole Internet thing as some divine creature that never fails. Not true. Software fails, human fail. (It´s just funny, reading it over so far, that I first mention the software, it being equal to humans LOL.)
I was waiting for a transference from my paypal account to my bankaccount. It usually takes 2 days, but this time, because of the weekend in-between, it took five days, and I started all sweating. No sweat necessary, stuff just happens.

Bingo pillusch! You got it where I intended it. From observation, since I received those notification to my email. I read it right from the email what the 2 responses were. 1 of the responses actually did have a link posted sure enough to confirm our other posters here that was a candidate for deletion. But the first one didn't have any link on it and was a simple "I quiete don't like work online :( but I need to love it :)". Perhaps it was deleted for not making any sense? or was it deleted by mistake? Hehe. Of course your response also gives us the the idea that computers or even people do make mistakes. Whatever it is, only the one who deleted them can shed some light on that. About software being equal to humans, it's not actually remote you know, one day software will achieve the speed of how the human brain processes things along with the human error factor, since humans made them. Thanks for the response and I hope you finally get that paypal transfer to your bank account. Cheers!

hello wolveren, there are two things about this problem. either your discussion has been deleted because the topic itself is a violation of a discussion guidelines at mylot. or your post had been deleted because some one reported your response for some reason we don't know. don't worry, they're plenty of discussions out there.

Yep, I'm not really that worried. Just thought was a glitch or something in between. Who knows really. Perhaps it falls on either of the responses our friends here have posted or maybe all of them including the glitch. thanks for the response. Cheers!

I have had discussions deleted & u never get a reason for it. Some jerk that didn't have anything better to do probably complained. It's very aggravating when this happens, sorry.

I have never had that happen to me since I don't stare all that many discussions. I have howerver, submitted respones to discussions, that were deleted because of some violation, so it does happen. I wouodn't worry about it though, becaues as long as your discussion is still there, you can still get good responses to it, ones th don't violate the rules. I would just hang in there and you will get responses soon enough. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Yes you are right about that. I really don't worry that much though, thought it was just a bit odd. As a matter of fact, in the past I had quite a few links posted on my profile. I removed them since they didn't work. I had to go prove those programs didn't do me any good for myself. I'm still trying to look for other online programs that do work on the side. I like mylot though. It really delivers. It's not much but all the information I get here is really priceless. cheers!

yeah, that can be true may be it was against my lot rules. i think you should read the rules here on my lot, they deleted one of my discussions that i posted. well, that was my mistake, it was against the rules.

Well sometimes no one can be really perfect and we all do make mistakes. Some may be intentional so that's why they stick to rules. Regardless of what reason things happen so that rules will be implemented a lot of posts do get deleted for the rules sake. I'm saying that this isn't really too bad, but what do I know huh?. hehe,
