There was a guy I used to hang out with. We weren't really friends, but we graduated from high school together and all went to junior college together. Anyway, there was a girl that was dating a mutual friend of ours. The guy, I'll call him "Jack", had a crush on the girl that was dating our friend. However, this girl wasn't interested in Jack. Anytime she came around Jack would touch her inappropriately and make rude comments, but she pretty much ignored him. Once Jack realized that there was no way that he would get this girl to go out with him, he started spreading rumors about her. Anytime another guy would be like "Who's that girl over there?" He'd start making up things about her, and unfortunately, some people will believe a lie before they'll believe the truth. Things got so out of hand that the girl almost dropped out of college. I just think it was so immature of Jack to do that. We're adults, he should've been able to take his rejection like a man instead of trying to ruin that girl's life.

sometimes another person's actions are based on how they see and perceive us. Jack did not only perceive the lady to be, but he really had a "try" on her by touching her and making rude comments. and she had allowed him to do that.
the first thing she could have done is to put her feet down on Jack. she should have "protected" herself not just by ignoring such actions but do something to stop what Jack had done. i am sure she knows her rights and she should have exercised that.
respect begets respect. by acting against any attempt to disrespect herself, she is respecting herself first.

Well the thing is, whenever he touched her, she'd push his hands away. That's just the kind of person Jack is though.
