I actually work alone now so there would be no chance for any kind of office or other type of work place romance. However I thought I would stop by and give you my opinion on office romances. From what I have seen with my family and friends, office romances usually end badly. This is especially true if the romance is between an executive and a worker. When the romance goes sour the working relationship usually suffers as well.

It can create problems, as I have experienced when I was holding various jobs including as a teacher, a factory worker, and an administrative executive. The experiences made me sometimes feel it is better for me to be a freelancer.
I taught at three different schools. At two of them a female colleague showed a very deep interest in me. I was already married. Even though Islam allows polygamy, I am not the sort of male to jump at an open opportunity. Things later on became a little bit awkward at one school. Knowing I rejected her advances, she stayed away from me, avoiding all contacts. It became difficult to fully function as a teacher, because she did not give any cooperation.
Office love is all right if it leads on to better things. So anyone wanting to embark on this journey, ensure that you reach the destination. If not every one is going to suffer, with a disrupted work harmony. Nevertheless it may not be a problem if it is a very large company with thousands of employees, and you do not see each other in your daily tasks.

I dont work at the moment but when I was working in a shop called Index many years ago before it got bought out there was this guy that worked there that had a massive crush on me but I told him that I wasnt interested and he stopped bugging me. I said we could be friends but nothing more, not only because we were collegues but because he had a girlfriend too!
