How do you choose which posts to respond to?

I personally like to go to the discussions with no posts just to help the Opening person out by posting to their topic. Isn't it right that you will only get points if you have responses? So how do you choose which ones to respond to?

I respond to topics that are of interest to me, and those who are putting thought into their posts, even if they may not be of particular interest. I like to reward the people who are actually contributing something of value to the community, and I usually ignore those who don't.

I agree with you. People who put serious posts up and have interesting topics are the ones that should be rewarded.

I usually only respond to questions that I can have a serious opinion on. I try to stay away from the questions that ask things like "What color are your eyes", Or "How old are you?". I like to have to think about my answers.

I try to get serious topics too. I am not crazy about the "when is your birthday" topics. I don't like to give out too much personal information.
