I have an HP omnibook laptop that won't boot up. When I connect the power the power light comes up but nothing else happens from there. Any Ideas on how to troubleshoot this problem would be greatly appreciated. I should add that after afew tapperings "adventures"all four lights comes and when I touch the power button the green light comes up and goes again.

try use recovery disc from HP. If after recovery, still problems. Then you should send it back for warranty. Because sometimes it was manufacture problem on certain hardware.

Boot, there is no alarm sound? HP's notebook computers, heat dissipation is not very good. Start to see whether there is alarm sound, alarm sound according to where the judge is a problem. If there is no sound, but the machine can not start. Can only be sent to you as soon as a pit stop. I wish you good luck.
