Hi, vathsala30. Yes, I grew up using these. We use these to hang up our clothes on the line outside. They are called clothes pins. We have been using these for many years. I used these when I was living with my grandmother. Now, I no loner use these because I dry my clothes at the laundromat.

Hi cream
First of all I would like to thank you for responding my old discussion/ How are you my friend? Yes even in my younger days we used to live in the first floor so we use clothes pins to prevent the clothes from falling down in the breeze. Now I do not use them as we are living in the ground floor and there is not chance of clothes falling down.

Of course I will use the clips. If the cloth falls down, it will catch dirt and washing will be waste and we have to wash the same cloth again. Hence putting clips is always safe. Moreover, the cloths will remain spread on the rope on which we dry our cloths and wrinkles will not come for the cloth.

I don't have or use a clothesline, but if I had one I would want to use clothespins to keep them on the line. You really need things like that to keep your clothes on the line other wise they are going to be falling all over the place and that would not be good at all. I just think that they are important. What else would you use?

I use clips only which I have posted as an image for my discussion. I don't know whether clothespins are available in our place. Because i won't go anywhere alone. i will find out next time when i go for shopping. How does a clothespin look like?

Oh yes i always use clothes pegs as you know if you do not use them all the linen always falls to the floor so you end up having to wash it all over yet again. If i peg sheets on the line i put lots of clothes pegs on it incase the wind gets up or it rains and gets heavy then fall off the linen line.
