What is so special about your country?

hi biman, i am Indian, WATCH OUT WORLD! THIS IS MY INDIA Very often the world coems across the word INDIA, but it's not any just word, it's my country, my motherland INDIA. INDIA got its name from the Persian who called it the land of the Indus, the river which flows in the area through which Persians entered INDIA. Even though INDIA has its glorious past it is striving hard at its present. Yet do not worry as its high hopes will bring the secure future to it and its citizens. INDIA has very good potential. Being the 7th Largest country, it has ample resources. INDIA has great diversity in its physical features, climate, culture, language etc., Unity In Diversity is the tradition of the people of my country INDIA. INDIA is the land of many intellectual persons like SWAMI VIVEKANANDA, MAHAVIR SWAMI, SUBASH CHANDRA BOSE, SARDAR PATEL, BHAGWAT SINGH, NEHRU and many other National Hero's who fought for the country's Independence in 1947. Ofcourse, the Great Indian Bapu, MAHATMA GANDHI brought INDIA Independence giving the world the principle of TRUTH AND NON-VIOLENCE. INDIA'S first Prime Minister JAWARHAR LAL NEHRU who gave the word principle of PANCHASHEEL for the country to maintain foriegn policy. INDIA'S tri colour flag has its own significance. saffron at the top of courage, white in middle of peace, green at the bottom of greenary, at the centre blue colour wheel with 24 spoke signifies equal opportunities to all citizens.. Today INDIA is an underdeveloped country, but its rate of development is very fast. Recently it has been awarded as the 3rd largest growing economy. In the field of Science, INDIA made tremendous progress in developing nuclear missiles, space rockets , more with the development of Silicon Valley in Bangalore it has became a I.T hub. India is a member of various International Organizations like UN, WTO etc., Above all ! I BOW MY COUNTRY WHERE THE WORLD'S LARGEST DEMOCRACY SURVIVES, WHERE THE PEOPLE FEEL SECURE FOR THEIR LIVES AND PROPERTY..

nice to know something about your country. yes i know that your country has rich music. and i would like to know more about that on how much people love music over there. the influence of music in your every day lives, and in everything you do. we have lots of chinese too here in my country. few indians and blacks though.

there are lots of good places to see in my country. lots of beautiful beaches, resort, and many good festivities worth seeing. though i have not seen one personally cause they are from far places. but i just hope that i get to see them all too one day. but if you can afford it then you can visit my country, the philippines.

Croatia is special because we have more than 1000 islands and beautifull nature.

I came from the Philippines. Well obviously people coming here loves the hospitality every Filipino shows. We welcome our visitors whole-heartedly. We entertain them and make their stay here memorable enough. Another thing, Philippines is composed of thousands of Islands. We have great beaches, great sceneries, and even place that was included in the Seven Wonders of the World. Really must see...

Hi biman, what's special about Greece, lets see. We invented democaracy and the olympic games. Most English words derive from the Greek language. We have a rich and interesting history and many famous figures in the past, such as Aristotle, Socrates, Plato, Alexander the Great. Greece fought of invaders and survived under extreme adversity. We are the land of the olive.

I live in the Philippines so here it goes... What I like about our country are the islands and other tourist destinations... It's a paradise in here, It's just bad that terrorism, politics and poverty is making our country bad...

hello, iam from indonesia. what can i say about my country?iam proud to be indonesian. even my country is not a rich country, we live in peacefull in many different. we are known in the biggest moslem country in the world, the largest coast line country and so on. we had many tribes and culture so it can be our attract things to make million foreigners come to our country.

Hey biman!I come from a country next to yours,China.China and India are two of the biggest developing countries in the world.WE often compared with each other.But in my mind,I love India for his ancient and misterious culture,It has a great attraction to me.But in China,a great number of ancient culture site have been destroyed,I feel very sorry for it. We Chinese people advocated harmonious between human and nature,and everything.Traditional Chinese stick to "The Doctrine of the mean",that means they often avoid to be stand out and tend to keep quiet in the crowd.We love peace and had never invaded other countries. But nowadays,the 80s and 90s Chinese young man are greatly influenced by the western culture,and becoming more passionate/creative and open. The old Chinese are just like our national treasure---Panda,a gentle,herbivore animal.But the young Chinese are like our Olympic Mascot"Fuwa",positive,open-minded,and international. Aha... I am from the united states of america and I like my country because of all the variety of cultures that are here, the many different opportunities that are available to us and also the freedom that we have and the rights that are given to us. I love my country and I think that it is a great place to live.

I love my country!! Malaysia is a multi-racial country. Even though we have so many different races in our country, we are able to live harmoniously and peacefully. We celebrate all kinds of festivals together. And Malaysia offers a wide variety of good food too!

Well over here in America there are plenty of things that are special. Like the different cultures. In our country you can find at least a thousand people of every different country. Only in the heartland of America are the people truly "Americans" Over here in New York there are plently of italians. In California there are plenty of Latinos. Our culture is as different as the people inhabiting America

The amount of history that our country, India has is what makes it special. Also the number of festivals we celebrate and their meaning makes our country fascinating to know about.
